I'm pretty impressed that she a) used the word prerogative correctly and b) that she doesn't sound like she's drunk or high. And I have to say that I agree with her statement about women wearing what they want to wear and women supporting other women.

Ha, that actually happened to my grandma in the '30s. She had to ski to school in the winter (cross country, not downhill), and one day she wore pants because skiing in skirts is ridiculous.

Now playing

Bwahaha! I love it! I just have this to add, relevant bit starts around the :40 second mark

Haha, clearly you've never met my mother! She wanted me to cut it off for years! She had me grow it out long until I was 10 and then decided that I should have short hair. She's been badgering me ever since! I did cut it all off 3 times for Locks of Love, but I've never found a stylist who could cut my hair short and

Ha, this just reminded me of that scene in What Lies Beneath (one of those horror movie mistakes that I wish I could forget) where they hear the neighbors going at it, and the dude is is all like, "We can do better than that!" and I think they have somewhat nightly competitions...?

Ha, that would be excellent. Maybe they'd even quiet down to listen more closely to the strange but intriguing noises.

Ooh, too bad! Well, you never know, right? There's always ARTE, which is located in France and is a pretty cool international film/TV channel... :)

Ok, I'd never even heard of one of these, but now I need it in my life!

YES! I get these as housewarming gifts for all the people because they are amazing! I've used mine almost daily since I got it 5 years ago.

Bwahaha, do it! This country really is genius, though, especially when it comes to accessible medical care, and I absolutely love living here. If you or your husband work at all in the scientific community, you should definitely look into coming over for the short term to try out France because scientists can get all

The pill is total hell. :( When I saw a derm here in France for the first time after moving here from the states, she was all of the horrification over my creams the doc had given me. Since then, my acne (which was always bad but got worse with the pill like yours) has improved a lot because of using only a minimal

Ok, I thought that "sob your eyes out" was hyperbole. I am sobbing—so beautiful!

DICE?! O.o

Enzo is totally traditional; I'd go for it! Also, I know a lot of Enzos and Lorenzos with Italian heritage here in France. Wolfgang is a little harder to pull off, but I think it's doable, same with Bjorn.

Beatrix! I love that name; it's so versatile and classic, and I love all the nicknames. My name is unnicknameable, which I always resented as a kid. Bee, Bea, Trix, Trixie/y. It's basically perfect, :)

In French, it's pronounced Ah-nyes, which is super pretty, too

I agree with you on Bear, but I know loads of Clementines here in France in the elementary schools I taught in. There was one in every other class. In French it's pronounced Clay-mahn-teen instead of Clem-en-tyne, though. Also, Clement (pron. Clay-mahn) is extremely popular for boys.

I know a Rocky and a Stoney. Yes, really. Children of the 80s...

That's a great idea! Nope, I never did, but I'll keep it in mind :)

OMG, your child is me! I would read anything when I ran out of library books, including the dictionary. And my mom's medical dictionary. And my parents' parenting books. At 10-11 years of age, those were my favorites when I ran out of my own books to read...
