slightly off topic, but am I the only one who thinks Ford missed an opportunity by not relaunching Mercury as their electric brand? All of the space tie ins would have been excellent for marketing.

My reason for avoiding this particular car stems from my mechanical experiences with modern Audi and VW products. I suspect i’d be better off buying the painting behind the car in the title picture.

Unfortunately, the KL is one of those vehicles that purists would say dilutes the brand as well. Like the Compass, starting with a FWD car platform for a brand known for solid axles, rugged simplicity, and off road capability is not ideal. If you were talking to some of those purists about your KL, I’m sure the mood…
