I have always wondered what Canadian vehicle ownership is like. Not that long ago, I got a job offer in Vancouver. If I had not been tied to my current military contract, I might have jumped on that. Your experience is definitely interesting to me. One of my plans when I retire is to drive from Nova Scotia to

How expensive was fuel? If I get stationed there, I was thinking I would just get an old TJ to beat on for a few years.

In other news, rain is wet.

Seriously though, I am not surprised that California and Florida are terrible places to own cars. California is overcrowded and ridiculously expensive for everything. Florida is hurricane central.

The correct answer is Dacia Duster.

I will. Bigly.

I would get on board with this. Perhaps my Grand Wagoneer project should receive an E-swap. It would certainly distinguish it from the crowd.

Thanks. 9 more months until I am back in the US and can get to work on it.

Modern shops vs. Carburetors is a bit like millennials vs Manual transmissions.

I gave it a nice price, but there is a caveat to that. I am the man that was crazy enough to buy DT’s free Grand Wagoneer for $4000, knowing full well I’d be putting at least $10,000 into it to reach decent. So this comes down to a question of mechanical priorities for a project:

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!

Well, consider me drafted.  Have they announced the paint colors yet? I’ll take mine in Agent Orange.

Still willing to facilitate if you got this route. I’m thinking we could probably use a local car dealer as a go between for paperwork purposes, then I can “buy” it from them, register/inspect it on base, ship it through the VPC, and get it to you when it arrives in port. I leave here in October for my next

well this should answer that burning question we all have;

Hell yeah, make it a Detroit Diesel (I’m not sure if they made a 12V92. I’ve only fixed 8V92s and 6V92s) with an emissions delete. I would love to see a Powerstroke get coal rolled by a Model S.

Counterpoint: The XJ has reached levels of greatness that it transcends the laws of the English language and Grammar norms.

I have to wonder if it Northstar’d on them during testing.

Anyone else feel like Blackwing would sound much better as a special edition Pontiac Firebird?

Fun Fact: In South Korea, instead of this rather ingenious solution, they just leave the blue foam pieces on the door from when It was shipped wrapped from the factory to the dealership. I saw them everywhere when I was over there in 2017.
