Nailed it. This was hands down my favorite feature of my Grand Marquis. wish FCA would adopt it as well so that I could have my automotive cake and eat it too.

Not sure I agree about MA, but Italy and Paris are areas where I agree. I drove through a traffic circle in Paris a few years back and noticed that there was ring of cars parked on the outer edge, and all of those cars had been hit by other cars. As for Italy, I currently live there. The drivers in the North are…
A prius in the left lane is a crime worthy of the death penalty.
can concur. I actually preferred the trains in Massachusetts because it was the only transport system where the operators never passed on the right through a fucking drainage ditch just to crash into another driver in the lane they were desperate to get into in the first place. Also, can someone tell the construction…
Driving in Jersey on side roads was always fine for me. It was when I hit the turnpike when all the Chaos was unleashed.
I can confirm your Texas observations. I once had to put my car in a ditch to avoid being rear-ended by a Silverado doing well above the speed limit in Icy conditions in Lubbock. I am glad I was in a Panther platform car. I don’t know of any FWD platform cars that would have survived that.
From my experience, the best drivers in the US are from Kansas. I know this because I drove through that state east to west and didn’t encounter a single car. They are so good that they have transcended our dimension. The worst drivers I have ever encountered were in Worcester (Woostah!!), Massachusetts. I watched a…
I think this is the first time in 20 years that GM has shown some ambition and inspiration in their designs. It has been a long time coming, and I genuinely think this is a success from a design perspective, and most importantly, it’s finally a GM design that looks to be developed around the concept of fun.
I am pleasantly surprised with this design. I was not fond of the older Hummers, and my feelings on the AM General HMMWVs are already well known around these parts. I think it looks pretty decent, and I’m digging the minimalist interior. I appreciate the removable roof panels and the rear seat T-top. The real buttons…
This is a disturbing thought. Shall I assume the child or children had names along the lines of Beef Supreme, or Velveeta Jones?
I mean... what are the odds that the kid it hits was going to do something important...
Walking into a crowded Target and singing Tainted Love by Soft Cell while shitting yourself is a better look than this.
I agree with your assessment. I wouldn’t worry too much about Ford underpinnings. Ford bought Volvo to steal their parts, so this should be mostly Swede with a few Ford plastics thrown in here and there. I’m reluctant to give this a Nice Price because mods generally spell trouble.
It’s cool and all.... but it’s still no Dacia Sandero.
I like this idea. I will say, however, that visibility out of a Challenger isn’t brilliant. I test drove a 2019 R/T in Germany last year and had to stick my head out the window to see traffic lights. I’m slightly taller than he is, so perhaps that would make up the difference.
yeah, i’m not getting his “I’m a Giant” routine. I’m 6'3" and daily drive a 2010 Mitsubishi Colt. I’ve got the long leg, short torso situation going on, and still manage to fit in everything north of a Fiat 500. I sat in one of those in Arizona and felt claustrophobic.
I think we all know that the proper way to transport a Changli is a Dajiban.
While I was employed as a tech at a Chrysler dealer, a guy brought in a blacked out 2007 ram 2500 quad cab long bed with a 6" lift, huge off road tires, 3 inch spacers, and spikes on the lug nuts. We called it the Mad Max Mall truck. A few weeks later, I met an ex girlfriend of his at a bar. She was into car talk, so…
I honestly looked at the picture for the article and thought that it was an F-150. Frankly, the trucks are so big today that they all seem like Super Dutys. I’d also like to know who actually has $80K to throw at a new truck?
