Based on the Gif, the Truck driver was already on the slow down due to the car in front. No way he would have known the pickup would have just moved over like an idiot at the last second. I always drive as if someone is going to do that and prepare, but you’re not doing any defensive driving in a potential 80,000lbs

I really don’t know how you stop this at this point. No amount of messaging, laws or penalties stops people driving while glued to their phones.

Or a collision.  It’s only an “accident” because at least one driver was paying attention to something other than driving, “on purpose.”

It’s obviously the pickup driver fault. I’m glad no one was killed, and I seriously feel for everyone hit who’s going to have months of anguish dealing their insurance companies because there will certainly be months of the truck driver’s insurance trying to get everything paid by the pickup driver’s insurance that

Frankly, that’s why I prefer to call them crashes.

Look at me!
I’m rich and can afford to flush my money down the toilet!

“Youtuber” = zero sympathy.

I have a real hard time caring for someone who can afford a $140K vehicle that’s depreciated that much 🤷‍♂️🤣

i’m torn, Props to Ford for building a nice car but I feel like they should be penalized for building the car in china and selling it in the usa. Everyone is wanting protectionist tariffs on the Chinese automakers but somehow Ford/GM gets a pass on building in China? Why?

They sold like hotcakes because people were desperate to get rid of their gas guzzlers after the first fuel crisis of the 70s, not because they thought the M][ was a great car.  People bought Vegas for the same reason.

This is undoubtedly the top answer. All of the best ideas and innovation went into transport and delivery. This is a phenomenon known as “bike shedding” i.e. - if you bring a bunch of people together to build something like a power plant while simultaneously giving them a smaller and easier-to-reach goal of building a

This happens in my industry (real estate and construction) all the time. When large office and apartment buildings are constructed, decisions are often made by the development and construction team with the intent of keeping the building in decent, low maintenance condition for about a decade. That way, they can sell

One thing cool about the Vega is the Verti-Pak rail car that was developed to ship these. If only GM had spent the money for that on the actual car it might not have sucked so bad.

This was my immediate first thought. What a promising car ruined by horrid execution. Second thought was the 1923 copper cooled Chevrolet, of which pretty much all were recalled and scrapped.

Of course Pinto is going to pop up on this list because people have been groomed for decades into having that opinion about it. But it’s only flaw was a misplaced gas tank early in its run. It was still an attractive runabout that still sold pretty well.

The Pinto was worlds better than the Vega or Chevette. The Vega had major cooling problems and needed engines quicker than fill ups sometimes. The Chevette set a new standard with rust that even the Italians and Japanese couldn’t match. Both had electrical systems that Lucas would have rejected.  Pintos may have been

Even in 1998 DOS and 5.25" floppy discs were out dated.

I don’t think we’ve reached the point where a 225,000 mile, clean Miata is worth $8k. Also, loses points for interior modifications.

It looks pretty good, but for that price, that is way, way, WAAAAAAAY too many miles.
