You boys some kinda posse?

Generally speaking I think the only solution to having affordable cars is to allow the Chinese automakers to compete in the U.S. market. It’s unfortunate because it will result in fewer jobs in the U.S.

They all say that and it is always the same story.

They are always paranoid. One of the streamers is from the DC area and she is on the corner with a lot of other delusional people saying that the people in DC jail that were arrested for Jan. 6 are hostages. They have no jobs or they did until grifting people out of their money that they think is going to the jailed,

I also like how they’re confirming that arresting and charging the J6ers was the right call — it appears to be working as a deterrent. I’m dumbfounded at how many people appeared to think they could violently attempt to overthrow the election at the seat of our government and then I guess just go home like nothing

Suburban culture is going to turn out to be kind of miserable for us, in my humble opinion, especially elders.

His statement can be translated to, “we have discovered that we can charge more for cars because you have no other option than driving.”

♩ ♬ ’Cause we got a little ol’ convoy, all across this land

This is a shitty timeline we’re living in.

The issue with America today is that we literally built our cities and lives around cars in far too many places.

This is the basis of the Jan. 6 “fedsurrection” conspiracy theory, which around a quarter of Americans believe, according to recent polling.

The “Take Our Border Back” convoy promised to bring 700,000 vigilantes to Eagle Pass. So far, it has a few dozen retirees.

Wasn't there another convoy a few years back that promised a bajillion people and had a laughably low turnout?

Republicans are now true Watch-me-wipe-my-ass-with-the-Constitution monsters. All in service to that pathologically lying would-be dictator, Donald The Criminal. Effing hell...America has come to this.

Not only Americans, that model is still being pursued across the globe even with that clear evidence that it backfired completely, when the “greatest economy” struggles to sustain that model it’s just sad to see so many developing nations thinking they could do the same

“Consensus is growing that the U.S. economy, the job market and auto sales will continue to be resilient,” GM Chief Executive Mary Barra told investors in a letter.

I generally regard Jim Farely as one of the less-dumb CEO’s but holy shit:

Of all the scams ever pulled on the American people, linking cars to freedom has to be the biggest. Cars aren’t freedom. They’re expensive and the damage that having “Just Drive” as the default answer to every problem has caused so many more self perpetuating problems.

If people still insist used cars are the only affordable way. Then new cars will still go wildly up in price. Cars getting more expensive is like colleges getting more expensive. More unnecessary luxury stuff and the assumption that expensive=better. Even if customers demanded smaller cheaper cars manufactures would

My dad is 93. He’s still driving, though I think that time is coming to an end for him. When it does, he’s probably going to continue to drive because he lives in Texas and good luck living in S. Texas without wheels.
