How much is your DOC fee.  Because it doesn’t cost you $500 to press a couple buttons on the computer.

If only railways were situated near upper class neighborhoods, I’m sure that it would be a national tragedy if someone woke up to the smell of cat poop coffee and burning oil a few yards away. Then would someone just think of the rich?

I sell thousands and thousands of cars.

Deregulation working as intended

I judge individuals on there own and not groups in general, but the habit of white-lining has to go. Just b/c you can, doesn’t mean you should, I mean, i get it when traffic is almost at a standstill, but it’s a d*ck move, not really any different than a car driving on the shoulder.

Yep.

Another weird wrinkle is the lack of inspections you need for tags. I lived in Michigan for 4 years, and one of the wildest things I noticed was how many rusted out and half-wrecked vehicles that would never pass a roadworthiness checkup elsewhere were still rolling around.

Raise your hand if you’ve been popped for reckless driving, careless driving, or similar for far less and/or with thinner evidence.

I’ve been pinched for doing donuts in an empty, snowy parking lot, for example, and on another occasion for ‘somebody claims to have seen you intentionally drive through a leaf pile on

Dont sit there filling out your logbook with mileage and how much gas while sitting at the pump and then calculate something, oh and don’t you dare get on your phone.

I always found it genuinely hilarious that the spiritual home to the American automobile industry is also so incredibly hostile towards it, through the worst roads in America and outrageous insurance rates/legislation.

A ton of engineering has gone into keeping fuel vapors in your fuel tank and not spilling out into the environment. No fuel vapor means no risk of explosion.

Wannabe Road Crayons make all motorcyclists look bad. This guy sucks.

Lived there years ago. They called it “no fault” insurance, but it felt like “your fault” insurance.

I had the perfect answer, but the car was so utterly forgettable I cannot remember what it was.

I checked myself before I called you wrong, but you’re totally right about pricing.

4 inches (or less) created the demand for the taller hoods in the first place.

If your car can do 0-60mph in 3 seconds, and you drive it like it can do 0-60mph in 3 seconds, expect to replace tires very frequently.

I used to go through a pair of 275/60-R15 Radial T/A’s every single summer on the rear of my car. Never blamed the car or the tires because I was fully aware that my driving style was the cause.

The downside is that the car chases on YouTube will be shorter.  All the police (or ex-boyfriend/girlfriend) chasing them has to do is wait for total battery discharge.  And if they treat their EV like their burner phone, the battery is at 12% all of the time.

In the future where EVs have largely replaced ICE cars, there will inevitably be an EV version of the Altima. 5000 lbs cars, no insurance, and bald tires will be a recipe for literal dumpster fires.
