Let’s get real about this flag. It wasn’t continuously flown from 1861 until today. It was an obscure flag not flown very much at all from the end of the Civil War until after WWII, when it became popular with Dixiecrats. It gained prominence in the south during the fifties , and it didn’t fly over any government

Also: basically a double date with his daughter.

He was joined for dinner by class acts Nigel Farage, leader of Brexit, Florida governor Rick Scott, daughter Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner.

This is why maintaining their delusions about the size of their base is so important to thid administration.

It’s the weight of the cross...seriously, if they gave that shit up - they’d be with the rest of us.

I would rather live in Florida than the shithole that is South Carolina. FLORIDA for christ’s sake! (Other than Charleston, maybe).

This is bad.

Once a loser, always a loser. South Carolina has very few reasons to be proud. This certainly is not one of them.

How can these people call themselves Americans and support a flag that symbolizes insurrection against the United States? If you support the Confederate flag, you support treason against the U.S.

For every two steps America goes forward, someone always pushes it back one step.

That flag is one I wouldn’t mind seeing burnt.

Why not replace it with the last one the confederacy had that mattered (the all white one). :p

It’s surely still flammable though, right?

“This is not a rape case,” said Judge Stoker, according to the Guardian. “This is not a sex case. This started out as penetration with a foreign object . . .

I live somewhat near this area, and this case has me completely enraged. I can’t even put a coherent thought together to comment on the absurdity of this, but I can tell you that the resistance movement in this area is furious at this judge, and they are doing everything they can to have him removed from the bench.

Not to any in particular, but definitely to everyone:

There are actually even more bad details, but to name just two. The judge gave the defendant what is known as a “withheld judgment.” Nobody is reporting this. That means the whole charge is wiped off his record as if it never happened if he makes it through probation. This despite the defendant’s previous problems in
