Do you think he knows that there were actual witch hunts in American history?

The Coke Zero one wasn’t even controversial- the overwhelming consensus was that Beth was wrong and everyone thought the sommelier was a douche.
Yes, it pisses me off that those things are partisan now. They take these things that have meaning for most of us and they fetishize them, so that saying “Happy Holidays” becomes an anti-Christan sentiment. Expressing dissent about a war becomes anti American. Kneeling silently during the anthem becomes anti military.
Seriously, those pieces of shit have weaponized “Merry Christmas.” They’re the ones who have ruined it!
🎶It can only be JAAAAA-red!
I adore her take on sexual assault and the culture which promotes it, but something about that breastfeeding exchange is cringey to me. It kind of seems like she’s saying that breasts aren’t sexual, and it’s natural and wholesome for her to share her breastfeeding pictures, but it’s not ok for Miley Cyrus to wear…
Bonnie has a thing against abusers, not against men. Disappointing that the director conflates those two things.
A great way of avoiding annoyances is to be prepared for them. I am a restaurant server and I used to get so bent out of shape about customers making special requests because it slowed me down. And I would also take it personally if these requests were made impolitely. And then I realized I was just getting in my own…
I think that harassment is more than a mere annoyance. It’s closer to an attack than an annoyance.
Hers would be “The Jackass.”
Yes, it seems like some commenters are deliberately misunderstanding just to provoke a reaction.
This deserves more stars!
If you only care about racism when Black people are nice to you, you’re a racist. We should care about eradicating racism because Black people are human beings and it is the right thing to do. If your commitment is dependent upon whether or not Black people are patient with you when you ask them ridiculous questions,…
That was my first thought, too. Sleep paralysis is terrifying as an adult in my own home, I can’t imagine how scary it must be to experience it as a preteen in a creepy place. Sleepovers at that age were so so intense.
Maybe he runs for-profit-prisons or crisis pregnancy centers.
Exactly. It seems like an excuse to me If he doesn’t want to move out of the country, that’s totally valid, but, “My degree only works in America” doesn’t make any sense.
Or he can learn IFRS- having knowledge of both will be a huge benefit to his career. And there are plenty of Canadian companies that trade in the US and need to present statements according to GAAP. It just seems like a flimsy excuse- a professional degree can be applied in a lot of different jobs. I guess it’s…
The only things I can think of are law and possibly accounting. But there are certainly opportunities for an American in Canada with a professional degree!
Months are ok for the first year because you can’t really say your kid is 0 years old- even though you’re right, I don’t care about the differences between 3, 5, or 7 months. After a year, I’m with you, just round.
As a whypipo, I would like to confirm that I absolutely give way more of a fuck about singing/screaming, “BOM BOM BOM, SO GOOD, SO GOOD” whenever the opportunity presents itself than singing the national anthem. We all do, probably even those of us who hump the flag.
