You are right that the WHO recommends a rate of 15% or less, which is absolutely shocking in light of evidence which tells us that such a low rate is deadly. I could not agree with you more about the woo crap. The natural birth peddlers have done women a tremendous disservice by basically reducing women to our biological functions, trying to convince us that giving birth is spiritual and empowering... But only if we do it the “right” way, the “natural” way. It’s horseshit.

It’s odd to me that you would focus on fighting the c-section rate, which some have arbitrarily decided is too high. It seems that patients would be much better served if providers focused on offering excellent and truly informed, evidence-based care.
