Real talk. I admire your optimism. But think of this. Did you take calculus in High School? Do you know any calculus now? People only learn things when they want to learn them. Otherwise it’s memorize what you need to pass the test and then wipe that shit from memory.

If I were a black voter I think I’d be fairly apathetic to democracy following the unjust and obviously somewhat racially-motivated treatment of President Obama. My rationale would essentially be, “if that’s what it looks like when an African American is finally elected President, then what’s the point?”
