No, no, George Will was right. We want that coveted status!

I think he knew and just didn’t want to have the necessary uncomfortable talk with his buddy. I also think he didn’t really dig into it further so he can claim plausible deniability.
“We took somebody’s a man’s word for it..”
I know this is a candidate for the next New England Journal of Duh but I think men need to be better about trusting women when they come out about this stuff. There is literally no benefit to a woman making these kinds of accusations about a powerful man.
Liberal, progressive men are the fucking worst.
Sadly the case is too weak for a court of law. Buck’s rich and already lawyered up. It’s really terrible but I’m glad there are stories like this spreading the word. I know a lot of the men Buck allegedly targets will still be too tempted by money and/or drugs to listen but maybe it will make some of them think twice.
Yes.
Everyone does. Parks & Rec > The Office by a country mile.
Agreed. I tend to hate most TV and am an insufferable grump about it, but Parks & Rec can warm my cold, cynical heart. Whereas The Office just makes me angry at everyone- Why am I supposed to like any of these people who so clearly hate themselves? Why do I want to watch people be unhappy at work? Why should I find…
Yeah, I’ll also take Ben’s proposal over Jim’s. And I love their vows:
I honestly never got the appeal of The Office. I never found cringe comedy entertaining. In fact, the Office being more popular than Parks and Rec leaves me looking like this:
Thank God he wasn’t, or else the world would have been deprived of the awesomeness that is Chris Evans.
Well yeah. At his worst, Ben makes stop-mo animation films, really complicated board games and town ruining ice rinks.
I always preferred Leslie & Ben to Jim and Pam.
I think he killed his current or ex partner/family and decided to shoot whomever he came across till the cops cut him down.
Someone brought up how these people are so damn privileged they can’t even boycott properly. The whole point of a boycott is to stop supporting a business.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m damn sure to stop supporting a business you need to stop giving it money. So how the fuck does buying a product just to smash…
While pretty much every single ‘boycott’ performed by the right is always counter-intuitive and meaningless, this one is especially so. While the world burns around us, at least we can enjoy watching rape-apologists ruin their own mornings.
who among us doesn’t weep every time he kisses her at casino night... or tells her he’s in love with her... or proposes in the rain at the gas station?
Democrats: “If you publicly support liberal causes, you can rape and abuse women in private with impunity.”
Republicans: “If you publicly support conservative causes, you can rape and abuse women in private with impunity.”
Absolutely agreed, there. It is also a huge issue with older folks who refuse to give up their licience even when they’re a danger to themselves and others. Awhile back we had to take away my grandmother’s car because she kept driving when she seriously should not have been (that grandmother was from NYC.) My other…
