I’m amazed that as absolutely tragic as this is for Blake Blivens, his father in-law somehow has it even worse. They both lost a wife and child, but the father-in-law also lost a grandson and his son is the killer.  What a nightmare.

Define a lot.

watch a lot of kids pee, do ya?

I think you got that backwards. Children use the dick hole of their underwear, the rest of us just push that shit down. 😀

I play rec league hockey. I’m decent, played competitive as a kid. For the life of me, I cannot understand these people who need to play like this as a 30-something (or older!).

That swing in the video is legit better thant I thought it was going to be given his initial approach.

I once screamed, “IF YOU ARE GOING TO HIT MIDDLE, DON’T FUCKING TALK ABOUT IT!!!” in a church league game after gloving a rocket at my face from the best player on the other team who definitely could control his bat.

Good call.  I can’t believe you went back a second time to defend yourself for headhunting a pitcher in rec league softball.

I was ready to pull out a “are you fucking serious” response so I appreciate this second one.

To be clear on this, I don’t think you should *ever* aim at the pitcher with the intent of hitting them or with reckless disregard (such as aiming at his head hoping that he’ll get out of the way in time). Mistakes happen. I pitch and I know that when I get pitched certain spots, my risk of hitting middle goes up.

He runs better than I do and he’s 40 years my senior.

I basically never go middle unless the infielders pinch me, and even then I’m usually aiming a decent amount left or right of center. I’m not killing a pitcher to win in rec league.

I thought that too. If you’re good enough to go up the middle every time, you should be good enough to hit a gap, right?

I’m just going to slowly walk away from this thread and give it another shot tomorrow.

And, this was a terrible take too, on reflection, so I’m just going to slowly walk away from this thread and give it another shot tomorrow.

“By mid-season, I just targeted the pitcher’s head and hoped he was quick enough to move.”

reading is fundamental, champ

“The Steelers replaced an all pro with simply a good back, and did just fine.”

Hahahahahaha! They did just fine, eh? I seem to remember they ended their season having to root for a victory by their hated rivals in order to sneak into the playoffs. And I’m pretty sure those hated rivals lost, and everybody involved had

The article clearly notes that most of these are not literal buffets, but instead you can order unlimited sushi that is then prepared for you at the time.

This the truth. If you expect people to understand that the beer peeking out behind from behind the milk is your secret stash, that’s on you.
