    THANK YOU!

They give you the dysfunction from the word go. I used to be here for it. Lol.

I think because InTouch has less to lose in terms of credibility, they can afford to go hard at real stories. People will still buy their mag for the fluff and celeb dirt because that’s what they’re known for. But, when they break something serious in a way that keeps in line with journalistic integrity, they opened

    EXTREMELY!

As serious as Snoop is about his smoking, I believe he has THEE BEST weed ever and it would definitely be to her standards. I can totally believe it.

THANK YOU!!!! I was like “who is she?” Lol. Just shows how much I associate her with the role and nothing else. She’s awesome.

I respect your input. Thanks. I haven’t been here long so I’ll defer to your judgment.

    Lmao!!!

When I was there it was a while ago but I still have family there. From what I saw, it still was a bit segregated but you’re right...nowhere near as much as places like Memphis and some other “proper” southern cities (even ATL).

Savannah, GA; Memphis, TN; Atlanta, GA; and St. Louis, MO (which is midwest but considered de facto southern by many). I had a job that required me to travel a lot.

I’m black (not AA as I use it. To me that means someone who’s migrated to the states from Nigeria or Senegal or another country in Africa) and there is a decent amount of black people in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami too. In Miami, they are more segregated, but there are a LOT of black people down there.

It was ridiculous. Every darker-skinned woman who belonged to that chapter had long hair when they pledged. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The only reason anyone who was overweight got in is because they were a legacy and even that was a big deal. This is stuff I was somewhat removed from as a first-generation college student. I

Um...I’m not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if the integration of people are AA or Caribbean or others? I’m sorry. I’m confused. Lol.

Miami =/ all of South Florida. It can be very segregated in Miami proper, but in Broward county and West Palm Beach it’s much more integrated.

I don’t have hard stats on that, but I can say that Columbus, Oh, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, various larger cities in Jersey and Maryland are much more mixed than Memphis, TN (which literally has railroad tracks separating one side of town from the other, and one race of people from another), other larger cities

All of the above, yes. Regardless of skin color, it helped if you had long hair that wasn’t fake also.

Here’s what I can add. All comments I’ve heard IN THE SOUTH from NATIVE SOUTHERNERS:

First, GB is black. I’m black also and I’ve lived in a lot of places. I will concur with the (maybe, cuz unless they tell you, how can you know) white people in this thread who have observed that southern racism is overt, alive, well and ingrained in many social/political/economic spheres down here. The north has its

It can be hard to find solidarity with POC in certain places (esp. in the south) because everyone is trying their best NOT to be associated with/as black people. Most of my closest friends are mixed. I’m not. I’m black. But, I have definitely observed that mixed people can get a lot of flack from other POC because of

I am also a former member of a black sorority and I had to let that go. My LS’s were awesome people (some of them, some of them totally sucked ass) and I got caught up in the hype. I don’t regret pledging but once I really started to navigate the world, I realized I made a mistake. Interestingly enough, last I heard,
