I agree. Outside of Miami, FL, I cannot think of one place in the south that isn’t completely segregated. It’s not legal segregation but selected, self segregation and that is a large part of why these issues persist. Any attempts by well-meaning “naive” people to combat the status quo are quickly overrun with

I see what you’re saying and I’m sure he has leverage, however, if he was CONTRACTUALLY obligated to show up somewhere or if studio time was already secured and paid for, I’m not too sure how likely he would have been able to get out of it. And let’s not forget that he is so much of a liability for other reasons, yet

It’s like how porn stars won’t do black men. Keeps the “ain’t been despoiled” allure just a little longer.

I’m not sure what Chris Brown’s child’s mother thought would happen when she had a kid by a person with a showbiz career, but they just now decided that he could publicly claim her as his. I’m sure that man has his schedule set for months due to contract obligations. I’m not a CB fan (used to be) but it’s kind of

I follow Rebecca on IG and usually the stuff she posts regarding Cat is nice. She didn't post this look so....

Lance Gross’s now wife, stylist Rebecca, is here usual stylist. However, as she just got married, I’m not sure this is her work.

    LMAO

I agree but I still would be interested in seeing the numbers.

That struck me as well. I felt very sad reading that.

I agree. My comments were more about the K marketing machine than any slander on what Caitlyn’s family is dealing with as a result of the transition.

Honestly, if studies show that longterm reform can be done there, they need to replicate that progress and roll it out in places like south Chicago, Atlanta, Miami Dade proper and other areas ASAP. Every place can use this type of real change regarding policing and policy, but bigger cities especially. I imagine that

Lol, indeed :) And I responded in a not cool way initially. I apologize.

Okay, I thought it was funny because they K’s are always doing this whole glamour thing and clearly Caitlyn picked up tips and is killing it. It’s funny to me because I’m sure they are all rooting for her, at the same time Kris seems like she cannot take the spotlight not being on her and it’s refreshing for Caitlyn

    ***redacted***

It’s funny. It’s not something that Caitlyn approved via her IG so chill. Someone dropped it on my TL and I thought it was silly. And am not suggesting either of them is a saint. I’m having fun with a silly picture.

I love IG for this...love it! lol And on a serious note, I love the positive comments people have. I hope it does open up dialogue and helps people put a face to transgender issues and the process of making the transition. Wishful thinking, but one can hope.

I’m just gonna leave this right here!

The “look” really isn’t the issue though. I agree. It’s the fact that they choose a fully white actress to play a part of an ethnically diverse person in a movie about a region that has a strong and unfavorable history with white people (and rightly so). This kind of thing does nothing to advance better relations

They were married for years and I’m sure they shared the same ambitions. My thinking is that if she hadn’t transitioned, they’d still be married because they had a lot in common. So it makes sense that maybe she too (Caitlyn) wanted to do TV and it wasn’t just Kris.

In my mind (but not in practice), I’m petty as hell so it was easy to think of.
