This is the fallacious reasoning driving all of this. This challenge is SO MUCH BIGGER than any single device that’s come before it. It makes the invention of flight look like a weekend craft project.

That’s a reasonable impulse, but if when you crack you head open and you want to be able to go to a doc, have a reasonable wait time, and get quality modern medicine in 2017, we’re going to all need to do our part (like being insured even if you are young and healthy) to keep our healthcare system going.
I see what you are saying, but it is in the public interest to decrease spending on healthcare and having less people who are too injured to work. Just because we don’t have sufficient safety equipment for motorcycles doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive to keep people where we can.
I had a 2004 Dodge Dakota V8 SLT crew cab with a limited slip rear diff. Initial quality wise it was a really fun, comfortable, and great looking truck. On a recent search I couldn’t find a single one that had held up acceptably. The only reason I got rid of mine back in 2007 is I moved up to Vermont, and a 2wd truck…
There is something about Dodge/Ram pickup. Especially in the early 2000's. Total pieces of crap AND great trucks at the same time. I’m hard pressed to put my finger on what they had that others didn’t at the time, but I liked it.
Pretty sure something with meat, cheese and toppings between bread is a sandwich. If a sub is a sandwich then a hot dog is one too.
1st gear: geez, China is really embracing that whole “cheap Chinese crap” reputation.
You do know that’s what affirmative action is though, right? I mean I’m 100% for it, but it is a systemic way to take opportunities away from whites and give them to minorities. Again I’m all for it, and whites need shit taken away from them, but don’t act like it never happens.
Nah, it’s a ‘17 with every option checked. However, she makes mor than enough money to legitimately afford most anything people actually DD.
I didn’t say wealthy people I said “the wealthiest people I know.” Folks with net worths in the 9 figures.
Yes and no. I mean you nail the fallacious reasoning behind buying any fancy over-powered car. About 2% of people who buy a car like this have the skill and/or need for anything with over 500 bhp. The psychosis behind going into serious debt to impress people with a car (which won’t) is scary/sad/very real.
That’s so gross and terrible, yet somehow a fitting outcome.
Yep, not a month goes by without getting a phone call asking if we’d like to trade in our ‘12 Maxima or ‘11 Outback that we no longer own. Often times from the dealers who actually sold us the car the car in the first place and got the trade-in back. If dealers that buy and sell the cars can’t keep track of them, you…
Good outcome, considering the alternative possibility of it all coming back to him like a tsunami of emotion.
For the individual investor it’s great, has been for me, and it makes sense for Tesla to do it. The existing OEMs and US government are to are the most to blame. I’m just looking at it from the pragmatic “how do we make this transition as a society” angle of things.
I’m shouting at most investors being stupid fucking pack animals.
Exactly, a company that’s dozens if not hundreds of times bigger raises 1.3 billion when they need money. Tesla grabs more at a time, and hasn’t even made a high-production automobile yet.
