GM is one of the largest companies in the world, not a specialty low production car maker. Proportionally speaking they don’t issue debt at near the same level.

I wonder how many other car companies could be raging successes if they could just randomly reach out and raise $1.5 billion every time they hit a snag.

I love Japanese cars so much. They way they handle, their engines, their dependability. They’re just my cup of tea. But I wonder if I grew up on nothing but Japanese cars, never knowing the sensuousness of how German cars feel. Or how American cars can do how nasty burn outs even if they are an 80's luxobarge, and how

That’s true, they really shouldn’t call them racetrack taillights, they should be called Macho Man Shades.

That and they are cheaply made. I adored my 2004 Dodge Dakota when I bought it new, but considering the state that it was in 3 years later when I traded it in, I’m certain there isn’t a single example out there I’d want today.

That’s a tough crowd...

That’s the thing about all of the Hemi motors Dodge, Jeep and Ram use. Some of them aren’t half bad reliability-wise, but are doomed to head to the scrap heap when their unreliable packaging is totaled just 10 years after leaving the factory.

Yeah, no this thing is dumb.

That’s cool, discount my opinions because of my race. You are definitely the enlightened one here.

So, to refute my statement that cars can be too small, and that making them larger can lead to efficiency gains, you cited the XL1, which is larger and is more efficient than the Elio?

But you get my point though, right? Being small isn’t everything when it comes to vehicle efficiency. Another good example is motorcycles. Plenty of 1 1/2 ton automobiles get better gas mileage that 1/4 ton bikes with better aerodynamics.

Take Elio proportions and make then larger and add a long-legged transmission and an engine able to push it, and you’ll get a more efficient vehicle.

Chinese never bowed because of religious beliefs, so it has absolutely nothing to do with this situation. I think you’re also confusing China for Japan, even old people in most of China don’t bow in the 21st century, you’re thinking of Japan.

What? I didn’t say I was messing with Islam, I mean to say that’s true of any religion. There’s nothing inherently wrong with shaking a woman’s hand in your religion, so I’m not on any sort of crusade.

I don’t take someone’s religion into account. If something as basic as a handshake messes with their religion, then their religion deserves to get messed with. I have have female Muslim clients, I shake their hands when I see them. Reactions are about 50/50, but that’s only slightly worse than secular women.

It is neither safe nor user friendly. But even if it was, no younger buyers wouldn’t be into this car after test driving it. And I hate to say this as someone who *just* ekes in by birth year as a millennial, but this car’s infotainment is about 12 notches below what is acceptable to most younger car buyers these

I think you should talk to Aero first. Me and him are on a first name basis. Generally speaking, in the non-sports cars produced today, mid-sized vehicles fair the best in the wind tunnel. Air has time to stabilize and roll off the back of the vehicle with less turbulence. Smaller cars don’t do this as well.

Oh no! Black people are being mean to white people! And they’ve gone after the group most willing to work with them to heal a deep divide between our cultures.
