I can't even with this. You are a disgusting human being. You have no perspective, but you are more than happy to smug-post about shit you know nothing about. You're judgmental, arrogant, and naive.

No, you believe in equality by giving women easier standards than men, thus removing the "equality".
All soldiers are sociopaths. Got it. I really wish we could have skipped to this part of the conversation from the get-go. Here I was thinking you might have had a valid point somewhere in your babbling. Little did I know that you were just holding back a flood of crazy bullshit.
"But I could give a shit about the life and death of a soldier."
I'm pretty sure the standards require women to keep their hair either pulled up or sufficiently short so that it doesn't interfere with mobility. I hated having to keep my own hair so short, so I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to shave it off.
I never said that. I said that women in combat arms should be able to uphold the same physical standard as men...by which, I mean more than just the PT score. Bonus: I also think the standards should be raised for men in combat arms, but you probably don't give a shit about that either, because it doesn't fit into…
And now I'm spewing bile against military women? Fuck right off. Somewhere along the way you translated my "women are more than capable" statements into "bile". Sounds reasonable.
My opinion on the matter is irrelevant because the standard does vary by age for women, which I already said, but you clearly read only what you wanted.
I don't think that the extreme language is a necessity so much as it is a product of the extreme environment. And of course you don't direct it at a superior officer (although I definitely have during a firefight). Shit rolls downhill.
But you're trying to assert that women deserve a break because they're women. You're hurting your own point. That standard applies to women also, by the way. Their PT standards change in different age groups, so that isn't specific to men.
I'm not sure what kind of prep school setting you're imagining, but I can assure you that it was not like that in the army.
This isn't about whether or not someone's feelings are getting hurt, friend. People live or die based on what the person next to them is capable of. If the person next to me can't carry me when I get my legs blown off, then male or female, they don't need to be there.
Oh I have plenty of issues with the PT standards as they stood when I was enlisted (not sure if that has changed much in the last 5 years or so). I see what you're trying to push me into, but age difference does not equate to gender difference. Apples and oranges, my friend.
That takes care of itself, since there's an age limit for infantry line soldiers.
The point was that the foxhole is not a "professional" setting, and it's not fair to compare it to a job in an office.
This is true in so far as a woman could not assume command of an infantry battalion, since she has no infantry-specific experience. But women often still get combat experience in other roles, such as in support companies or helicopter pilots/crew. Combat isn't limited to those in the foxholes.
Women have less strict physical fitness standards than men in the military. So clearly they aren't held to the same standard. I'm not saying women can't do it, I'm saying that they should be held to the same standard.
Like I said: As long as women can uphold the standard, they should be allowed into combat roles.
That's actually a better point to make. Infantry soldiers in particular do have a higher chance for early promotion.
Yeah, you're really worried about sounding professional when you're being shot at. If you say something other than "Holy fuck" when machine gun fire starts cracking over your head, there's something wrong with you.
