1st gen SC is one the the best interiors. Period.
My thoughts exactly. They’re scrambling to come up with some way, any way, to make it look like it isn’t a Z4.
“A cynical critic might be tempted to call this a metaphor for the Supra’s relaunch in general: a mild re-skin that only exists to capitalize on nostalgia.”
I think this is Toyota's half-assed attempt at making the car individualized from the BMW
Exactly why it’s wrong. You have to bend your thumb all weird to hit it when its on the right vs just reaching across.
And besides... the REAL crime in that picture/that phone is putting the “back button” on the right side.... a sin.
They did the same thing on the GT350, and it’s because of the hood. The revised hood on the ‘18+ models (which the headlights were designed around) doesn’t work for the Voodoo engine (I believe, although I’m not 100% certain, that this is because of clearance issues affecting pedestrian crash safety).
Welp, there ya go. I honestly like the look of the older style, although there’s too much going on on the front of this new thing to count it as a victory.
Regarding the splitter wickers (which is a new term to me) that are removable with a wrench...wouldn’t that mean that virtually every part of a car is removable? You can take my doors off with a wrench. Do I have removable doors? You can take my engine out with a wrench. Do I have a removable engine? You don’t even…
The Raptor still has the pre-facelift headlights too. They’d need new hoods and front fenders to accommodate the different lights. Cost cutting FTW.
Supercharger: Either the cross-plane crank worked better with boost, or the fact that having a supercharger means you don’t need/can’t have an 8,000+ redline anyway so the flat plane crank would be wasted.
I think it’ll be more of a “Here’s your manual. Now shut up about it and buy one” kind of thing.
Still don’t know how I feel about that front end.
Worth it.
Wondering if it’s worth the trouble at that power level.
With a clutch so heavy and industrial, your left leg will look like the hulk in about 3 weeks of driving.
13. They might offer a manual if consumers make enough noise
