The tech isn’t there yet and it’s too expensive.

Waking up early is actually easier for me than staying up late. Just the way my sleep patterns work.

Appearances aren’t development. Many fridged female characters “appeared” a lot before conveniently dying. She received exactly zero development in any of those appearances. Can you say what drives her? Share anything about her personal life? Her ethos? Other than “loyal to Fury,” what do we know about her?

You skipped past the whole “character received no development prior to being killed,” which is why Hill fits more than Talos.

Yeah, they did it in Absolutely Fabulous back in the 90s.

The premise of the first season was already better than the execution. I was hoping it would be better on a second try. Too bad it went the other way.

His “individual demands” were (among other things) that she, a professional surfer, not surf with male surfers. That she not post pictures of herself surfing in her bathingsuit. He also demanded she take down her her older advertising photos and videos of her surfing because she was wearing a bathing suit in them.

Presumably because she cared about him and he framed his unreasonable controlling demands as reasonable boundaries set by “the best boyfriend ever,” causing her to doubt her own judgment.

Isn’t bathing suit the standard term? What do you call it?

Since what he was demanding was extremely unhealthy, I’m not clear on who he’d be “compatible” with.

You don’t see how framing this as a “need” is manipulative?

Nope that would waaaay predate tumblr. They were talking about that back in the livejournal days.

DAs refusing to prosecute is not the same as decriminalization. It does not, for example, create a legal market of heroin that can be tested and regulated.

Yeah. I don’t blame her for noodling around in the world she created, certainly. I think experimenting with terrible world building and realizing an idea doesn’t work or is bad is part of being a fantasy writer. But she published her noodling!

Yeah, she’s managed to kill most of my enthusiasm for the world. I still feel nostalgia for how much happiness the stories gave me when I was younger, though. Maybe a Marauders story would work?

Wasn’t one of the jokes her writing an article about the 69 position?

I still have my copies of the books in the original publication order. The new order annoyed me too. I remember being a little kid and being so excited when I read Magician’s Nephew and figured out things like the origin of the wardrobe etc. It was a good way to learn about fiction and story progression as a kid.

Silo is so fun. And it’s reminding me of Babylon 5 in a lot of good ways.

Yeah, they meant “prompts the question.”  But I think it’s a lost cause. I see the error everywhere.

Yeah that third book…
