He didn’t conveniently forget. Voldemort was explicitly using experimental magic nobody fully understood, including himself. And it was pretty thoroughly established that he was not coldly and logically using it but rather using it out of his own irrational fear of dying.

Well that hardly matters. It’s not like action movies are marketed to people who are actually super-spies. But, even if it is marketed to them (no idea if that’s true), who cares?

I’m so glad to hear this is worth it. I loved the first season, but I really wondered where else the show could go. 

Yeah, how dare they market to single women of a certain age! All shows should be marketed to men in their twenties. Or men in their thirties. Or men in their forties.
