Well they definitely aren't fixing something that's not broken, I can guarantee you that.
You can’t be that dumb. The clear issue here is not that they’re fixing it. It’s that they’re not admitting it’s broken to begin with.
The Netflix model was not the problem.
It’s called “market cannibalization”. It’s a very basic concept of product development. I imagine they had very smart analysts who warned them about it, but management loves to ignore research they pay for. I have a theory that becoming a C-level executive is harmful to your cognitive abilities.

Turns out you can’t patch physical material with OTA updates.
While I certainly don’t feel sorry for her, it’s undeniable she’s been put through the ringer, both for things that were outside of her control as well as for her own flaws and shortcomings.
I wasted dozens of hours on this site in the years prior to the Hulk Hogan Gawker lawsuit, and now only sporadically check it out. Nothing would make me happier than to see the AV Club make a return to form.
Since many of the posters here (me included) are often criticizing the writing on the site, it’s worth saying -- this review is very well written.
