My old 2009 plasma (in 1080 obviously) doesn't have the problem in performance on the ps5 version. I was a little sad I'd be playing it on an older tv but I guess maybe I'm lucky. I see on Reddit a lot of people are taking some pretty serious umbrage with this, even after the latest fix.

It’s pretty straightforward since they’re on the same console, when you start the ps5 version it’ll play the first time cinematics, then from the main menu you’ll see an option to import PS4 saves. Once you’re sure you’ve got the save games working (import it then save the game again!) you can delete the PS4 version…

I'll have to time it but it seems much faster to me on PS5 (with stock drive). I actually started it on PS4 and was surprised at how ok the loading times were and they're faster still on PS5. Like with that one option checked I usually have JUST enough time to read the loading screen hint.
