Then why did you click on a non tech story and even comment on it? The answer is because you don't come here for tech, you come here to bitch about things in the comments. At least that's what your actions say. You'll probably say something to the contrary but you know the old expression about actions and words.

I’m a little confused by what you mean by 10 times worse, 1 rad is 10 msv so apollo 14 actually came out to about the same rate as the ISS figure. So little time is spent in the van allen belts they don’t really make a big difference. Another thing I assume they’re taking into account with their estimates for Mars is

The astronauts on Apollo 14 rang up over 1 rad on it's 9 day mission. Space isn't safe!

The length of stay on Mars will need to be more like 500 days, and the total dose for the stay would be more like 32 rads. Remember that astronauts on the ISS get about 0.5 to 1 msv a day, so figuring you want to send experienced astronauts (with, say, a year in space prior) you’re looking at a pretty high total dose.

Your first post in 10 months and you can't even get the basic facts of what you're whining about right. Try again next year I guess, lol.

It’s depressing to look through his history.

Ok son (see how silly it is to use that type of backhanded insult online?).

You decided you didn’t like the game before you even commented and were just looking for a confirmation bias. They haven’t even finished the first act. There are plenty of more thorough reviews, kotaku barely has a staff anymore, it'll be a while before you see their review.

At least in BG2 I would slowwwly scout ahead with a stealthed character and uncover the fog bit by bit, then carefully get everyone just the way I want before engaging. With enemies and traps I would rarely click a distant point then just watch my characters blunder into danger. I would for backtracking or passing

The person who didn’t win the election wanted to invalidate the results of the election. Maybe “overthrow” the government is too strong in your opinion, but it’s clearly an antidemocratic attempt to bypass constitutionally defined processes, during which violence was commited. The fact they were bad at it is no kind

You could probably recreate this game yourself in Unity with zero programming experience following a tutorial and spend less money and make it better. It’s like if someone published a novel that was just copied and pasted from various Wikipedia page. It’s not really anything.

That is literally the message of this very article’s headline.

We hear about SpaceX all the time because it’s doing lots of successful stuff, but he’s less (not at all?) directly involved in its day to day operations. No, twitter is where he gets to be himself as a manager, and this is himself.

Hey, whatever gets you through the day I guess, but I'm imagining spending 200 hours on this just to find out that... it's a standard issue rpg skill tree.

Oppenheimer was staunchly and explicitly not regretful of his work, to the very end of his life. His regrets centered around the failure of the US to prevent an arms race, something many of the top scientists, himself included, hoped to avert by bombing a city to demonstrate the full destructive power of the bomb. He

Lest anyone think you’re exaggerating that is a situation from King’s Quest 2!

The fact that it’s riddled with errors is a bonus because it drives user engagement. These sites have died a couple of deaths over the last decade so what's one more, I suppose.

But in the Latin alphabet, rift begins with...uh, an r!

Supposedly they heard periodic banging but nothing since Monday I think. That would actually fit in with the automatic failsafe deploying, but again I’m just saying things I’ve read on the internet. And how quickly does that air supply drain if you're panicking and exerting yourself?
