If you're not playing with stronger monsters I wouldn't think you need to grind (maybe the opposite even, just to keep things challenging). I didn't grind for stronger monsters unless I absolutely had to (maybe 3 or 4 times) but it kicked my ass up and down the street so maybe I should have!

You got time to lean, you got time to clean! My favorite was when servers would hear our (obnoxious, loud) boss coming and proceed to start punching randomly at the terminal screens with a look of concentration.

I love Divinity OS2, turn based PoE 2, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc. I loved Persona 5 (but I can tell there’s a line where the relationship/dating stuff would grate on me, and P5 tapdanced just on the good side of the line). I’ve been on the fence about getting a Switch, there’s a few other titles that appeal to me but

I feel like this opinion is more suited to maybe 10 or 15 years ago. I’m 34 and I think we’re in a golden age of games losing the death grip on graphical fidelity and focusing on gameplay and story elements. Independent game studios have the tools and distribution options they never had before. Contrary to what this

“...(San Andreas 2, again with Peyton helming) which suggests he’s loyal to a fault.”

Nothing like hearing someone at an age you consider young complaining about being old to make you feel old!

The idea is if everyone just stands on both sides more people get through on average (instead of queueing up a long line on one side while far fewer people quickly get up the other). While true, it ignores the fact that people who aren’t in a hurry are usually happy to slow themselves down a little to let people

I loved FFVII, but even as a middle schooler I really struggled to connect with the characters, I think in part because of the translation issues, and being my first Japanese RPG I was pretty thrown by the (compared to what I was used to) bizarre, borderline incomprehensible plot (in part because of that pesky

I read the first three books as they came out (a LONG time ago, that is to say) and have never seen an episode of the show and am not that interested.

I’m thinking of buying a Switch, partly to keep me sane on an upcoming 15 hour flight. Is it a bad idea to do that now with a probable refresh coming this year? Unfortunately I can’t wait for the refresh for my flight.

Anyone ever read the guides\compendiums? I don’t remember if they were official products but King’s and Space Quest had big ones I remember that provided a walkthrough by way of writing up the games like a story (with a conventional walkthrough in the back) I loooooved reading those as a kid. I know Police Quest had

Yes! Excellent ending and intro cinematics, those blew my mind back then (though I never finished the game until many years later with internet assistance)

Plenty of love! Though I only played the first one (and only the VGA remake).

All the games are loaded with situations like that (LucasArts moved away from that being a source of difficulty). I think that was one way to inject difficulty into the game but it effectively means a fair bit of the skill the game requires is carefully managing your save games while engaging in trial and error. I believe every Quest game, King, Space, for Glory, included save and restore functionality.

The trick is to mentally replace the text they write with what they’re really thinking, which is “wahhhhh.”

I read the first three books 15-20 years ago and half-heartededly follow the show spoilers, but all of a sudden I’m in love with the idea that the mad king went mad like Hodor did, with time travel shenanigans. All of King’s Landing is ready to blow, right? Not just the Great Sept. Chekhov’s wildfire.

I feel like this kind of advice just isn’t helpful without some kind of quantification of the impact these various charging policies can have. In addition, how do they compare to other factors? I run my phones hard and have never had one crap out before I decided to upgrade (and I keep phones 4+ years. I’m on an S6

“The one time I saw a skeleton ship, a grim and green vessel full of undead enemies, it emerged from the waves with the audacity and ill-fortune of the Titanic. It sailed immediately into a rock twice its size, careened into my sloop, and spun in confused circles while I tilted my sails to the wind for a clean
