They’re all somewhat elegant mush, but I think the previous generation was a lot better looking. As soon as I look away from the body lines on this thing I can hardly remember what shape it is. That being said, IMO it’s still quite a bit better looking than the current Camry. I like that Toyota is trying to make the

It could have been the rebirth of the Mustang, and Ford decided it should compete with the Beetle(?)

I know this comment is old but holy shit yes, the seats are awesome. Just enough support to not be mush but still ridiculously pillowy. But yeah the rest of the car feels like it’s held together with staples and zip ties

Ah yes we all don’t like the village idiot therefore we’re all the same person

Ugh, these are so lame compared to their predecessor

That was my first thought, it almost looks like a flat four lol

Hence why they all feel like a shitty R/C truck going down the road. Like the kind with the terrible “twisty knob on a pistol grip” controller, not the cool ones with actual switches and joysticks.

In any other circumstances I probably wouldn’t even know these vans exist, except for one reason; the V6's in these sound so bad. I regularly hear one with an exhaust leak and it literally sounds like a bad engine sound from GTA 3, it’s horrendous.

According to the reviews of the time, it wasn’t all that great of an SUV anyway. If I remember right, despite having all-around independent suspension, the ride was weirdly stiff and I don’t think they were all that well-built.

That’s all relative though. With modern fuel injection and computers, not mention far better materials, less than 400hp in a V8 is relatively low-stressed.

As a Ford guy, I always say GM has never made a bad looking full sizer. It looks like I’m gonna have to drop that.

“Wull no, wull no, I just think it’s stupid!

I think technically she was an “intervention specialist”, basically she helped the kids that were handicapped or had moderate mental issues.

There was an intervention teacher at my elementary that drove a perfectly beige Pacifica. She was a snarky old hag. I had heard that people matched their cars, but I didn’t realize how literal that was until then.

The biggest engine you could get in a Maverick was the 302, which in malaise form was lethargic, so that’s probably why it seemed so terrible.

What a horrific looking car.

At some point in the late 2000's my dad decided to commit to Nissan for no apparent reason. He’s always favored imports (something that’s kind of odd for a midwesterner), but somehow he managed to settle on what’s essentially the Mopar of Japan.

Unpopular opinion:

It’s funny that these days the ‘57 Chevy is looked at as a styling benchmark for the era, because really IMO it probably the tamest of the Big Three.

Ah yes, a rear-drive coupe with all-around independent suspension and the options of a V8 or a supercharged V6 is worthy of Meh Car Monday. Definitely.
