If I don’t get a super loud Festivale outfit with glitter and feathers I riot

Speaking as someone who is currently trying to fill a position and has seen FAR too many resumes in the last three weeks - PDF. Please. And make sure it’s nicely formatted and legible, and CONCISE. If it’s more than two pages my eyes glaze over. Don’t be the person who sent me a nine page poorly spaced .doc crammed

Exactly. I grew up Republican, surrounded by Republicans, I know all about how they think and why.

Yeah I tried to explain to someone the concept of bodily autonomy and why I support getting rid of anti-abortion laws and all I got was vitriol about how I support killing babies.

There used to be someone in my town who owned an old white cargo van and had the police called on him so many times that, as an exasperated joke, he spray-painted “FREE CANDY” on the side.

When I worked for 911 I walked someone through delivering a baby over the phone, is that person now a doctor too?

I beg your pardon but how can you mention food descriptions in fantasy without bringing up Redwall?!

There were a few amusing replies to that tweet, but there were also so many people offering support and telling him it was okay that he “made a mistake” that I had to stop reading. I mean, are they always that nice to sex offenders?

THE FREAKING SHALEBRIDGE CRADLE

I beg your pardon but that is clearly a plethora of rubber ducks

My first screen name was WPML80E because that was on Prodigy and they didn’t believe in such things as “letting people create their own screen name.” The main account was WPML80 and I was the fifth user on it, so yep.

I don’t know about every Hocus Pocus fan, I showed that to my sister and she was immediately Offended because “Binx isn’t a big-eyed anime cat!” XD

Seconded, I’m very much a night owl but my office job kind of won’t let me work at 8 pm.

The worst part was that if someone called in sick, the on-call person had to come in and cover their shift. Everyone was seriously pissed at her because it was destroying their weekends... and she still did it, and nobody did anything about it.

I had a co-worker who lied about having cancer (which in itself, uh, yeah) and kept calling in sick because “her cancer hurt too much,” and each time her Facebook would shortly be full of photos of her and her husband out hiking or at the amusement park or whatever.

Oh, you must have met my mother. :|

My mother hates animals. When I was a kid, my father let us get a kitten and then brought it home all, “hey, guess what” when it was too late for my mother to say no (but she refused to let the cat inside the house, outdoor only). Two years later my parents divorced and sold the house, and my mother moved us out of

After dealing with a succession of absolutely horrible roommates, I’ve lived alone for the better part of the last two decades - about fifteen years ago I was laid off and got a roommate to help pay the rent while I was job hunting, and it was seriously the worst decision I’ve made, because it cemented the idea that

The local center has a LOT fewer donation slots available - from what I’ve been able to guess, I think only take one of each type of donation (blood, double red, platelets, etc) per hour. Which is great for being careful, but hard for donors to get in.

I’m O- and I’ve been getting texts from the Red Cross for a couple months now telling me that there’s a critical need for me to donate - but the local donation center has had every appointment booked for the next couple weeks whenever I look (and same for blood drives, now that they’re going again). I’d sure love to
