I’m starting to wonder if GRRM is trying to pull a Robert Jordan - write so slowly that you die before you finish, but designate another writer to finish the series for you.

Sounds like my parents....I once accepted an offered ride to the airport so I didn’t have to pay for parking, and they insisted on dropping me off five hours before my domestic flight left.

If a call rings once and then hangs up I always assume the caller realized they had a wrong number. Why would I call them back?

It sounds to me like what “John” needs here is a therapist, and is instead trying to use the letter writer as a free one. He’s clearly neglecting/avoiding things that should be important in his life and that should be addressed.

Having just rewatched Thor: Ragnarok last night, I’m convinced that New Asgard was built by where Odin turned to sparkly dust. I don’t remember the exact line, but when he said that Asgard wasn’t a place but its people, he said something like “Asgard could be right here.”

I was honestly sad about the lack of Cap beard in Endgame. It makes him look about twenty years younger, which is nice and all when going for the clean-cut young soldier thing, but once I got used to the beardy grown-up Captain America I just didn’t want to go back.
