You can’t control every employee, but people don’t win big lawsuits against companies because of a single employee. They win lawsuits because the company as a whole didn’t react appropriately to the behavior of that employee (or employees). If you have good policies against this kind of behavior, make it abundantly

If I have to “work out” I can’t bring myself to do it - I can only get exercise in when I’m distracting myself with something else. :/

I got a mini elliptical for my living room so I get some exercise while watching Netflix. Works a lot better for me than actually going to a gym or something like that.

I’m about as white as a white girl can be and I’ve had my hair searched by the TSA before, once when it was in a ponytail and once when it was in a bun. I had to take it out of the holder and let them see it was all actually my hair.

For all 7 films I might pay $60. But not for a double feature of TFA/TLJ.

Trust me, if I were going to invent something it would be a hell of a lot more interesting. As I mentioned to someone else who’d replied, I was a little off - it was the Force Awakens double feature that was $63.50 and the single movie is $53.50. And no, I certainly did not buy a ticket (because I’m not that rich a

I can’t bring myself to do it. I can wait two days and watch it Saturday instead of opening night, because that’s just too much for me.

For $30 I would’ve gone to the Fan Event. For about twice that? I’m waiting until Saturday.

See, now $40 for a double feature with swag I totally would’ve gone for. I double checked and I mis-remembered a little, it’s actually $54 for the single feature and $64 for the double feature. Still too much for me.

Hah. Don’t I wish I lived somewhere that interesting.

Megaplex. They’re calling it a “special fan event” and charging out the nose. Another theater in the same chain is doing a “special fan event” double feature with The Force Awakens and charging $68, iirc.

And here I thought it was excessive for the local theaters to be charging $60 for the first Thursday screening of the movie. Wonder if that price was Disney mandated or if the theaters are just grabbing for as much of the share as they can.

I used to work 911/police dispatch and trust me, a LOT of people do this. They don’t even have to be “rich and deluded”, they’re just plain deluded and entitled.

Do you realize just how very many people tell cops that they “pay their salary” and therefore shouldn’t be arrested/given a speeding ticket/told to turn their loud music down at 2 am/etc

it’s hard to imagine DeVos enjoying a good wig

None of us actually use a mini-map to navigate around our own home town or city, for example.

P. sure they’re just lifting one finger as they float away.

But if you start assigning “weight” to different types of assault, that’s when people start becoming reluctant or afraid to report the so-called “lesser” kinds of assault because other people have been through worse. That’s when people are like, “well, he only grabbed her breast, it’s not like he raped her or

Uh, it’s sexual assault because it’s done for the sexual gratification of the one perpetrating the assault. He’s not grabbing her rear because he thinks it’s a squishy stress toy, it’s because he gets off on it, therefore, sexual assault.

FWIW the Powerline cables are the only ones my cat hasn’t chewed through. Not sure if she doesn’t like the texture or if they’re just sturdier, but they’re the ones that have survived the wrath of kitty thus far.
