She’s quite striking, and I think as an actress she has some potential. I know people didn’t like The Neon Demon, but when I saw it I saw the promise in her for greater things (same for Abbey Lee Kershaw, I thought she was great). There’s something about Elle Fanning that reminds me of young Nicole Kidman—I think she

I keep waiting for one of the Fanning sisters to really hit it big, and so far they never quite have. I don’t understand it—maybe they’re just picking the wrong projects.

For whatever reason, the scene in which they watch Pippi Longstocking and sing along always cracks me up:

That Emily is the best character on the show? It took me a while, but that’s the conclusion I came to after I revisited the series. Watching it back when it first aired I didn’t like her, because I was too young. Now I realize that she’s probably the most interested and complicated person on the show.

Oh Jesus, I live in Texas and I’m cool with guns but that dude is just a tone-deaf moron. I don’t typically have violent thoughts, but if he slipped in the shower I wouldn’t shed a tear.

It’s really sad to hear her say “I wasn’t surprised, just scared.” Columbine happened when I was in high school and even after that happened, I still would have been surprised if someone shot up my school. Of course, there are kids who go to high schools in poor, high crime neighborhoods all over America who have been

I wish reporters would give these kids a break. I know they need to report, but come on—she just survived a mass shooting, don’t make her go through it again in front of a camera.

It really was terrible. Not that Dukes of Hazzard was high art or anything. Fun fact, the guy who played Enos’ partner played the voice of Sebastian the crab in The Little Mermaid.

?

That’s a strange reason to not see a movie. Lots of movies have silly throwaway lines.

Yes, but it was weird—they aired the pilot in the spring of 1977, and then didn’t run any episodes until the fall of 1977. And even then, episodes were run inconsistently, sometimes weeks apart. Very strange. Here’s the second episode that aired:

Oh, also, in addition to “Tabitha,” another one I thought of was the terrible “Enos.”

I would also add “Tabitha,” a spin-off of Bewitched. It only lasted half a season and it was lousy.

Topher Grace as David Duke? I’m sold.

Oh my bad, I could have sworn I read “Not Another Teen Movie.” I guess my brain didn’t parse “Not Another Not Another Movie” because that makes no sense to me.

Then why isn’t she credited as a co-director? That seems strange.

I watched one episode and it was just too terrible. I don’t know why they signed on for that show—they should have done it on FX or Sundance where they could have more freedom to be weird. The cast is better than the material.

But WHY? The Mick might not have been for everyone, but damn that show made me laugh every time I watched it. Some episodes almost reached levels of brilliance in terms of structure/writing. The Last Man on Earth was stagnating a bit but it was still interesting and funny enough to keep me watching each week. I will

So it’s Back To School but without all the money.

What the hell, Not Another Not Another Movie is hilarious. Yes, it basically copy pastes from other movies at points, but the cast and the gags work for me. For example, this scene, which copies She’s All That, but which is also a fine sketch in its own right.
