I agree!

I was startled by the lack of care for the power dynamic. It seemed kind of like a gift to the audience instead of something that made sense in relation to everything else we’ve learned about the show’s ethics.

It’s like you took a trip through my mind and wrote all my thoughts. I’m in 100% agreement with all the words you have written. 

I would argue that this is an entirely different tone from his previous sketches. This tone is lighter and more forgiving. I even thought while reading the review that Dennis Perkins seems like he had a really nice summer.

I’m interested to see who finds out about this. It is literally 52 kids, but it can symbolically be more kids if it empowers people to rebel. How news gets distributed, etc. I don’t know but I’m interested to see the butterfly effect from this event. And this is the first time in a long time I’ve been excited about…

That said, as someone who works under someone who is very much like Joanne, in my experience Joannes love their power (and abuse thereof) and would die before they would let anyone else try to “pull this off”. How can anyone feel Joanne’s pain if Joanne won’t step down and let them experience…

Dude this show is so fast-paced I didn’t even hear that. Crazy. 

Counterpoint: Dany has always been a fire-happy sadist but only against nobility. She sees herself as a savior so her killing all these innocents is out of character.

I partially agree with you. I agree there was no character progression but that’s because the last two episodes were the culmination of years of character progression. They gave us reunions and closure since it’ll be hard to finish these stories when everybody is dead (next week probably). 

I see what you’re saying. I’m inclined to agree with you. Perhaps what I should have said is he could have been an interesting juxtaposition to Jon Snow except they had like 2 scenes that explored that versus 100 scenes where he is evil for evil’s sake.

Wasn’t Ramsay Snow an interesting juxtaposition to Jon Snow? The path of two bastards with very different “fathers”. Gotta quote “father” now because lineages are/have become weird. Euron came in after the show outpaced the source material and it shows.

There’s def some entitlement and queen tones coming out of her. That said, she made active choices to free slaves and set up governments that would protect them. She applied the wisdom of others and used her dragons for wonder instead of destruction. She went back for Jon and friends and put herself in the line of…

So first, I love this show. Now that that’s clear... last season I thought it bad writing that Danaerys was more upset that Jon was missing than that her dragon had died. This season, it’s strange Danaerys isn’t more upset that her kid is an ice dragon now. The romance was sped up and then seemed to substitute for her…

The gratuitous boobs made me more nostalgic for the earlier seasons than the Jon-Arya reunion.
