Single use as in the article saying that on some models the dealer is supposed to reinsert the fasteners as they are used to hold the air dam corners. Okay. And on those the ebay listing probably doesn’t include the fasteners, since they were put back on the car.

More like C7 no oval tail lights weird.

My guess is that 20 years from now, autonomous hauling (and autonomous vehicles in general) will still be seemingly right around the corner.

Sure, instead of a fine, post the person’s driver’s license photo on the city web site on a page titled “Intersection Blocking Assholes.”

Could there be a security camera nearby that might have caught the accident?

I think it’s similar to how Nintendo has made a couple of “classic” versions of their old game consoles. With demand outstripping supply, people would buy the consoles and resell them to 2x the original MSRP. I’m actually glad to see Ford discourage this type of behavior, since I think it’s a pretty shitty thing to

It rarely makes sense to buy a new vehicle solely to save money on gas. Replacing a car when it’s time to do so with a more fuel efficient vehicle it a better route. My current commute would cost $8/day if gas goes up to $4/gal. Considering the scorn I heap on people who spend $5+ a day to get their caffe latte fix,

You mean that David Tracy had to get his daily tetanus shot.

I was agreeing with your SMH comment. Bears usually attack people because they are defending their territory/cubs, or are injured or in some way unable to get other animals for food. It tends to be a one-off type of thing. Crocs OTOH see pretty much anything living as food, and killing one of them after attacking a

Sure for crocs, but for bears it’s a different story. Once a bear has killed a person they realize that 1) good food source and 2) easy to catch and kill. They are much more likely to seek out someone else to kill. Fortunately, it’s pretty rare that a bear will kill someone and need to be put down.

Wat? 49 states require seatbelt usage. Air bags, at least from what I remember, are required to be stronger than they otherwise could be, because it’s assumed that no seat/shoulder belt is in use. Even with almost every state requiring their use. Stupid probably, but that’s the way they decided to go.

How can they tell that you replaced a cat with a used one, or even a generic version? A used one would look identical, and if you said that it was replaced several months prior to inspection, the appearance of a new one versus old should be similar.

Yeah, a microburst on takeoff or landing is serious. A light storm at 10K+ feet? Those two are not even in the same category. Like comparing the safety of a Yugo to, well anything else.

Kona is a place in Hawaii. There’s Kona coffee, for one. Guess there’s always going to be some words in one language that mean something ‘bad’ in another.

You’d think that the bean counters would be all over the added cost for two sets of lenses and the associated wiring.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Elon took a page from Apple’s playbook and design a lot of the electronics with built-in security so that “counterfeit” parts don’t work. Non-OEM body panels they couldn’t do anything about, but unapproved electronics might brick the car.

I’ve seen policies that limit rental car reimbursement to 30 days max. Are there any insurance companies that give a benefit with no cap on the payout?

So that $4+/gal gas in years past sparked a huge increase in domestic production? Nope. Domestic producers are more than happy if oil goes up to $100/barrel. Sure they’ll increase output somewhat, but not enough to bring prices back anywhere near $50/barrel. It’s not in their best interest to overproduce to the point

Sorry, corn sales due to the ethanol requirements means that ethanol is here to stay. Farmers are part of the Republican’s base, especially the factory farmers, who get the most benefit from the farm bill.

You should’ve told him to show you the backup camera working on that car, saying that if it worked you’d buy the car on the spot at the full asking price.
