Nailed it

Agreed. A stock, low mileage example (good luck finding one) would be worth some money. This is a joke.

It wouldn’t matter. Throw in a $15,000 motor and it’s still not worth it!

Yeah, beat me to it, I was expecting a low mile, stock car.  While this thing might not be Fubar, none of the stuff added makes me want to pay more for it.  I was maybe in with the first exterior pic, and definitely out with the first one of the interior.

If this had been low mileage with some minor mods where we could debate if the cost to undo the mods was worth the risk it had been hooned one time too many. $16k would have been an interesting debate.

So, about the place where you throw peanut shells on the floor. 10 year ago, that became a thing where I lived. It was fun.. until the drunks tried throwing the shells down girls shirts or whatever and waitresses started complaining about slipping on the mess and the like. These places rapidly went from “fun place do

Sums it up nicely.  I tried to buy one of these in 2000, fresh out of grad school.  Nobody in the Honda dealer would talk to me.  Bought a Celica GT-S instead, was very happy.  So while I never got to drive one of these, they still look fantastic all these years later.

Honda’s big block, aka H22 with around 200hp and VTEC. Good motors - these are the ones that OG FWD drag guys would swap into their EG shells because they could handle a monster turbo better than any other 4cyl on the market at the time.

Loved the model, hate these mods. ND

“if you put a new steering wheel on a car that had an airbag there, I’m going to assume you were in an accident”.

VTEC Yo is all you need to know

From that price tag, I though you were going to show us a 50k original mile Prelude and then we’re argue whether the lowering and the exhaust or whatever would be annoying to change.

You could have included some engine details for those of us who aren't Honda/JDM insaniacs

Much cheaper to just ride a motorcycle.

To add to this, a lot of the preemption enabled traffic lights have surveillance cameras. IR is invisible to the naked eye but very much visible to cameras, and all of them that I have seen do save and flag preemption events in the surveillance software, usually for debugging when they don’t work with emergency

In a world where most dealers have next to no inventory, my local Subaru dealer has a few WRXs just rotting on the lot.  This design appears to be a huge miss so far.

This.

>>Unlike a lot of other vehicles these days, you can actually get the Subaru WRX in some good colors

Disappointed by the lack of green, per usual. Surprised there’s no yellow, though. Subaru used to have some good yellows.

I just clicked on the article to make sure that blue for ranked first.
