I was thinking the same thing. Keep the Rondo until she graduates then buy her a new Civic. In the meantime he could grab a used fill in the blank with whatever he wants: Challenger, Wrangler, etc

Eany to work on, cheap for a new car, AWD, good safety rating, handles perfect for new driver, and she can hand it down to her kid in 25 years. Disappointed that not one of the Jalops got the right answer... and putting a 16-yr-old in a veloster is a worse answer than Tracy's bastard child of a tractor and a junkyard.

Hyundai Kona - same form factor but super long warranty and better pricing

Foresters have those large windows that make them easier to drive than most vehicles. My wife has one and it’s like being inside a solarium.

They’re bigger than they used to be but I challenge you to find me a car that isn’t. I wouldn’t call them huge, though.

Forester all day long. Just don’t get the years that drank oil.

no larger than a Rondo though.

Dude needs to keep the Rondo for his daughter and get himself something new. 2008 cars were plenty safe and the Rondo is plenty ugly, so no concerns if she enhances its appearance by cutting it a bit too close in a parking garage.

CrossTrek with the bigger engine is a good suggestion.

Compared to what? It is about the same size as the Rondo

~4" longer than a Civic bumper to bumper. Only ~1" longer than the Rondo. I’d say it really isn’t that huge and if this guy really is 6' tall then he is going to struggle fitting in most cars

In what universe is a Forester, at 182”, considered “huge”?!

I was going to say Outback, but definitely something Subaru-y.

I was thinking Crosstrek as well.

Subaru Forester because it fits tall and short people while not being a massive vehicle by today’s standards. The newer models are decent on gas and packed with safety features

Killer custom turbo on one of Suzuki’s most sought after, best looking and collectable motorcycles.”

So, when can we expect your blog on your new to you motorcycle?

You’d have to be nuts to buy an old bike modded with an extended swing arm. There is no reason to have an ESA on the street. It’s simply for drag racing. On the street, it ruins bike geometry and makes the bike ride like ass.

Easy: the mods suck and the seat is a ball buster.

Came here to say “Go for it! Follow your heart” then I read a little further. Normally "choose the bike" is my go to but maybe this time choose life
