I can understand the disappointment, but as someone who enjoyed the first two (loved Golden Army) and has come to accept that a third was never gonna happen, I'd say this is a pretty bitchin' development.

So, taking this news into consideration, is either show particularly worth watching as a one-and-done single season?

Well, murdering Ego purely out of revenge for the death of his mother would have made Peter come across as a lot less heroic if there were no other lives at stake. Not to mention that Ego's desire to reconnect with Peter was entirely down to needing him to fuel his goal of pan-galactic conquest.

Spot on. I think it's also clearly demonstrated by the difference in quality between The Lego Batman Movie and the various DCEU films. Lego Batman may spend most of its runtime poking fun at the Batman mythos, but in doing so it demonstrates a deep affection for and understanding of that mythos.

If you follow through to the EW article and scroll down there's a larger version of this photo which clearly shows that he has the hooves. They're shadowy and hard to make out (presumably because the effect isn't entirely practical), but they're definitely there.

Along with 'next-gen', gimmick is one of those buzzwords that I would like to see disappear completely from video game discussions. Neither term means what most people seem to think they mean, and as such they're almost always meaningless.

Yeah, I mean, I could stand to see a few more dark fantasy westerns.

Her immediate kowtowing seemed more a matter of instinctive trust than playing along for shits and giggles, though.

I mean, I loved my Wii U and got a ton of use out of it, so I can't say I'm in the same boat. And while you have a point about the lack of Zelda, it feels like a bit of a stretch to call a system that featured Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U and Super Mario Maker 'Mario-less'.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Wii U and its library. 'Dismal' was referring more to the commercial side of things.

On the point about trusting future Barry immediately, it's especially stupid because she appears to hate current Barry.

Okay, so building on a couple of ideas from this comments section, my season 4 pitch…

My first though as well.

No reason it couldn't be both.

It's not even a joke anymore. Every time Killer Frost sauntered into a scene and had time to pose and quip before hurling an icicle at the nearest dingus, all while Barry presumably gawped at her from just offscreen, I wanted to throw something at the TV.

I'll probably skip this one because I'm one of the 5 people who owned a Wii U, but man it feels good to hear all the Nintendo success stories recently. It's been a dismal few years, but hopefully they can continue to do well with the Switch.

Well, if memory serves Han, Chewie and Finn are immediately surrounded and disarmed after TR-8R is killed, so you could just have that happen, and then Phasma gets up again with a big hole punched halfway through her armour (refusing assistance from a random Stormtrooper so that she still looks badass). Then she could

But Finn loses that fight, doesn't he? Han or Chewie comes in and shoots the rando before he can finish Finn off.

How does anyone enjoy the non-Speedster metahuman fights in this show? Barry fights like he's a Pokemon, and somebody already used Trick Room. And his ability is Truant. And he's holding an Idiot Ball. Okay, that last one isn't real, but god damn.

Supergirl lasted a season on CBS before being shifted to CW. Powerless just died. Black Lightning was shopped around at the other networks before having to go with the CW. The Titans show failed to get picked up by TNT.
