If you’re going to start with the story anyway, don’t use the boosts. You’ll get to/near 40 organically through the story. And being 40 won’t really help you. Save the boosts for your other toons if you end up making them.

The community of people who have actually done the raids has never been divided on this. The only people who say matchmaking would work are the people who haven’t done it because there’s no matchmaking.

I think this trailer was specifically meant for people who already know Destiny well. That’s why Cayde is featured so heavily; it’s a nod to us. To build hype among existing/lapsed players, leading them to jump into AoT now. They’ll start trying to sell new people on the game once the marketing ramps up this summer.

Yeah. Destiny is a game about acquiring and using new gear. That is the entire point of the endgame gameplay. That’s the only goal. Bringing old gear along can only either ruin that gameplay loop, or ruin the old gear.
