no, but we were ignorant of how ignorant our fellow citizens were.

“Eventually they broke up”
“And they’re just not happy if their front bumper isn’t located above the rear bumper of the car in front of them at a red light.”
Any one I’ve been in that drives a Truck or a large SUV. I don’t know what it is, but everyone who drives them, for some reason always comes within inches of the car in front’s rear end when stopping. But nah I gotta back up for a second. Before they even stop, they wait till the last minute to begin braking, you can…
It’s actually a toss-up between my brother and sister-in-law for very different reasons. My brother-in-law drives like a maniac by driving erratically, speeding and shooting gaps in heavy traffic, and generally just assuming others will give in and let him rule the road. He also has a history of wrecking cars (at…
One of my closest friends has horrendous road rage issues. Everything must be a race and he has to be first. He will speed, cut across three lanes of traffic, then brake check someone because they didn’t yield to him immediately. He’s totaled 3 cars due to angry driving as well as accumulated several speeding tickets…
Just after high school (1980’s) I dated a girl who happened to be the first girl I dated who also had a driver’s license. Until then I was always the driver in my relationships. At first, it was an exciting novelty being the passenger but I very quickly came to realize that it was in fact a genuine risk to my life.…
Childhood friend’s sister - she was 16, we were... 14? She drove us to Downtown (10 miles) the first time I drove with her.
We don’t have chaotic demon drivers around here so much as we have the complete opposite - utterly oblivious olds who are in a near-constant state of sheer terror any time they’re on the road.
I know. That’s one of the points I keep making. Ending all traffic stops, results in things like the above story of road rage.
He is a incel, he did it multiple times to women. Its LA A hole drivers come in all sexs, and colors
So this guy could get out and shoot people instead of just hitting their cars with a pipe?
Dude is obviously off his rocker, but I would be curious what actually instigated this whole incident.
Let’s take a moment to applaud the police (if that was an active vehicle and not just something bought at auction) for not getting involved in yet another fruitless traffic stop, that as this site keeps complaining about. Just end in police violence.
It looks like it’s a ex-cop car bought by a private individual on the used car market. It looks like there is no light bar on top and the police department decals are not on doors, fenders, or trunk.
Ill have my Brown EV Wagon before you have your EV convertible.
I think it would be helpful to say that EV’s are not good for the environment, only less bad than ICE vehicles. I am ok with that, but the media is disingenuous with painting EV’s as solving climate change. Industry and power generation are the biggest culprits in CO2 emissions.
In urban areas (at least here on the west coast) there are public chargers everywhere. Even so, I do question whether I would own an EV if I had to pay something resembling gas prices (per mile) to drive one - or, if I did, I would expect the same easy credit card payment system that are used at gas stations. Instead,…
“Not everyone lives in a house with a charger, although I imagine anyone who can afford an EV in Bergholz, OH, can also afford a house.”
Indeed. In a rural environment, it’s going to be single family homes much more so than in the city.
“I’d love to know what proportion of EV owners are apartment dwellers.”
Tiny, I…
