Grew up in Northern Germany; on one visit back home with my kids, my daughter (then in middle school) had a bit of a freakout when she realized that not only were there about three dozen different varieties of herring on offer at a seafood buffet, but that she actually liked herring. On that same visit, she discovered

you are missing the “wagon so I can sleep in the back” and “Manual Transmission” with that option.

The distinction between “booster” and “carseat” is sort of blurred these days. But there are pretty compact seats available like the Diono Radian. It will fit in just about anything with a back seat. I always tell people to buy carseats to fit the car, not other other way around.

As someone with a small child I recommend the Mazda 5. It is available with a sweet dash-mounted manual. And you can get it with a tan interior!
But the best part is that it’s a mini-minivan. Sliding doors make it super easy to load the littles. And the interior is extremely versatile because all the seats are able to

I don’t think these came as a manual in the states, so you’d either have to find a swapped one, or swap it using that budget. They are unique though.

First big mod can be sticking a manual in it, since they never came like that. Otherwise I agree - love these cars.

When contemplating my own mortality, and the various ways that my life could end, I don’t think that being crushed by a dump truck while chilling in my apartment has ever even registered.

I was initially surprised that his photographing random High School students wasn’t included in the arrest, but then I remembered that this was Florida.

I agree there’s a lot I’d trade too, but offering Weinstein and Kelly doesn’t seem like much in the way of value :/

Honestly I think the E32, 38, and 39 are some of the most beautiful sedan shapes ever penned. Definitely the high water mark for BMW. Everything after that has been pure hot garbage. The last 2 generations of 3 and 5 series, forgettable and anonymous. The worst kind of design of them all.

Obesity is the easiest way to avoid kidnapping. NOBODY kidnaps fat people. It is entirely too much work.

I especially like how she talks about being “taken” so casually, like getting kidnapped by groups of strangers via an overly-elaborate lure is just something that happens regularly and everyone knows it.
