And that’s why EVs aren’t the answer to everything. Reducing use is absolutely an essential part of keeping humanity in existence.

I don’t even like having OBD in my cars, so I am with you. Had to drive a Rivian last month, and the touch screens are a thousand times worse than I had imagined.

Galants or Mitsubishi in general?

Well, they work together, so I don’t think we ought to ignore either.

Remember twenty years ago, when Altima Man (and Woman) tended to prefer Mitsubishi Galants? There are still a few of them out there, invariably on Pennsylvania plates in NYC at least. Maybe Mitsubishi can regain this, no doubt profitable, niche?

Yes, the Altima crowd would not be interested in paying more for a Corolla Cross than for the larger Rogue (which can cause more damage).

Do they still make a Versa hatchback? I thought of buying a used Versa at one point, until I realized how many nearly-new Versas I saw that were missing their door handles. Gave me cold feet.

Low income people aren’t buying new cars, and the middle class is all but gone. All that is left is off-lease luxury and near luxury - which is a great way to keep someone in poverty.

For me the issue is how they’re generally driven. They usually belong to the car equivalent of SQUIDs, vape smoke trailing as they cut up traffic and blast down the verge. Poor is fine, it’s the fact that they’re so popular with absolute fools.

Well, last I checked, Ceausescu (thanks for not making me have to look up the spelling, although Im sure there is supposed to be an “ș” somewhere) et al did not share their political philosophy with Hitler, aside from thinking that all power should be in one set of hands. To me those collectibles would symbolize the

Yes and no; cars are slower because they last longer than phones or laptops or TV sets or whatever. For now, I don’t see EVs taking over all segments (they make little sense for long distance trucking, but more trains would be better anyhow) and there will always be a market of sorts. The timeline will be much longer

Too bad someone wasted film on a bunch of DeLoreans while there is a whole bunch of delicious, ultra-rare, federal-spec Fiat Stradas in the background! There are like 100 DeLoreans left for every operable Fiat Strada...

I’m 45.5 and I will readily admit he looks better than I do - but on the other hand, I am content and am not having to deal with mild mental illness like this guy.

I agree with everything said by everyone here, but I can see many reasons someone would collect Nazi stuff while also being strongly opposed to National Socialism and Fascism of all sorts. Their stuff just looked cool... it’s like in Star Wars, the baddies always know how to present themselves. British helmets looked

Do you have any kids, and if so, are any of them old enough to have reached puberty?

It’s funny how hard it is to resist insulting his no-chin, baby Mitch McConnell appearance - but I always experience mild regret afterwards, as it means I have resorted to their kind of thinking. I wonder if some of his insecurities stem from that look?

Funny you should say that, as I taught my 9-year-old how to use a can opener on Wednesday. She really liked it.

If it wasn’t for Zoom and others, this might make sense. Because we do have digital meetings, this is just a dick waving contest (which is more or less what the Concorde was, too).

That has not been my experience, and I doubt that I am the only one. The Blue Wall of Silence is a thing and extends to automatically assuming that another officer is in the right. I am sure there are exceptions but that would be a very risky bet.

I would possibly consider going to a police station, but that would likely have had the opposite effect in this case.
