My mom tells my NBC is looking to ditch her since her ratings aren’t just bad, they’re affecting the shows after her. At the very least change her timeslot to help the other shows.

I’ll admit, I groaned a bit at this part:
The chest isn’t the biggest issue with that bird. It’s that its head rests on its ass and it has to slingshot it around to see. And it can’t walk well. And a million other issues.
We did it a lot. Especially plays since those are meant to be read, but sometimes the teachers I had in high school wanted to make sure we were getting the right emotion into the texts and not reading it as “blarg, I hate this boring thing” (note: nothing could get us into As I Lay Dying. Nothing).
A lot of the skits have just been bad. Like, what even was that one with the chicken? And last night’s Melania one was too long to stay funny.
Yep. I know an online vet community that wants to kill most USA German Sherpard breeders. And various other breeders that breed for stupid shit. On the oher hand some pug breeder circles are working on un-flattening pug noses by breeding in boston terriers so that’s a good atempt.
THIS. There are a lot of “rescues” and “animal sanctuaries” that are very, very shoddily managed and just rely on people having a certain opinion of them by their name to skate by. Always check the history. ALWAYS.
They really want to meet whoever buys the puppies. My parents paid a fee to get me a reservation for one of a litter (it was a surprise, we lived in different states at the time, they spent weeks researching good breeders in the area) but she told them point blank nothing was set until she met me and judged whether I…
Mine is a very bouncy boy when his energy is up. Then you only have two options—wear him out or give him a treat that’ll last through the energy surge (option two usually is only for when I’m sick). He’s only 40 lbs but he is STRONG and doesn’t know how hard he bounces.
Yeah. If you’re doing it right it very much is NOT a money maker. All the genetic testing, vet visits, socializing the puppies, keeping momma and liter happy and healthy is a lot of work.
It would be SUPER complicated. I’ve known three breeders (two I bought dogs from) and they all wanted the puppies to stay with mama and litter until they were taken home. Heck, it’s why I know my cocker spaniel grew to nearly twice her mom’s size—she was chilling with her mom when I met her.
Yep. Early 90s I knew an older cockapoo who was buddies with our old man cocker spaniel . I know she was older than 10 by 2000 so she was bred in the 80s.
Yep. My folks got a labradoodle for me for my birthday/the holidays one year and part of why they picked the breeder they did was because she easily handed over the medical history of the parent and grandparent dogs. Since I was living on my own across the country from them they wanted to make sure there were unlikely…
I swear there are plenty who do. November is more of it, though (Thankgiving gets a couple drive aisles and maybe one major section). We had one woman buy three carts of shatterproof ornaments at once (apparently she re-does her tree entirely every few years...) very soon after we set the aisle in late October.…
It’s how it is. Seasonal aisles came in one huge package with the overstock built in. You filled in with the overstock as hings sold but couldn’t get more in. Normally not that bad, except for the most popular Christmas aisles, whichever it was any given year (that year mercury glass decorations were apparently very…
Yeah, somehow we managed to read it aloud fine in my high school. Everyone just hummed whenever the n-word came up, like a censor button. It’s not hard, no awkward pausing or dithering just making a little hum noise to be your bleep-out and keep going.
As someone who’s worked in craft stores, they nailed the feeling.
And the DSCC and DCCC simply do not exist at all because everything is under the DNC always. Don’t forget that one.
Yep. Especially since this race is the DSCC’s job. And they are, sadly, very picky. Al Franken really had to work to court them back when he first ran, to convince them it wouldn’t be wasting money they could use on other races.
My eighth grade teacher wanted to kill my group when we planned adequately and acted smartly and somehow never got dysentery so no one died on our trip.
