“I was a big fan of his when he was an active referee”
Exactly. Many of my family members specifically enlisted, then died in battle, so that people back home would be forced to stand when the National Anthem is sung, and denounced as traitors when they didn’t.
The Pontiac Sunfire is a car for a person not hip enough to drive a Saturn.
You do realize that all but three of the plaintiffs were getting less than $2,000 each, right? A movie theater is not a battle zone. A reasonable expectation of safety should be had in such a place. Regardless of whether the theater was found to be at fault—and in this court of law, it wasn’t, but that’s not really…
I’m a chiefs fan, the only memorable thing about him was his wife on Hard Knocks the season the chiefs were on it.
Presumably the photos were from the general jury waiting room (Since judges tend to frown upon selfies in an actual courtroom) and at a sufficiently large/busy courthouse, you won’t know what kind of case you might be put on until they collect you for the jury box.
Lol we only see real dad once in a while because he loves his other family more. Step dad really needs us!
He’s such a dad, but he thinks he’s the fun uncle. Better than Pence, who thinks he’s the strong patriarch, but is really the judgmental spinster aunt.
so you’re checking out the kids in the park for hours, but lie to your wife about it? NICE!
I guess that’s another ‘Breastaurant’ like Hooters or Tilted Kilt, but wouldn’t it be great if it was like Lynch’s Twin Peaks? Excellent coffee, delicious pies, and the chance sighting of Cooper, Harry, Hawk and all the rest.
Okay, I’ll bite:
What’s with the shitbird in the grey shirt? Keeps pushing the other guy out of the way, presumably so he can keep filming the whole thing. Are human beings that depraved?
Like, I get it, plenty of people are gonna watch the fight and not step in, for various reasons. Fine. But the mindset of “get out of my way so I can…
Someone must’ve insulted Kurt Warner.
I was just thinking the same thing, thank you. THIS is what the Rams moved back to L.A. for? So people can sit in seats with a view like that and beat the everlasting shit out of each other? I’ve been wrong this whole time- St. Louis fans are the true winners here.
Grad students and minor leaguers are basically the same people. They’ve both spent an incredibly long time specializing in something that very few people get well-compensated for, they’re both a criminally underpaid labour force for heartless employers, they’re both very good at figuring out ways to get free food,…
They just need to hang out in the comments section here, and can earn as much as $8792 a month.
I hope they’re keeping all of the Deadspin-related verticals. This guy may not be a fan of the Deadspin homepage anymore, but at least he can still come on the Concourse.
I’ll say what I say when on “the other side” of the argument, say, when people complain that x black artist is treated worse for his crimes than y white artist: None of these cases is exactly the same. R. Kelly isn’t Woody Allen isn’t Bill Cosby isn’t Roman Polanski isn’t Nate Parker isn’t Stephen Collins isn’t Mike…
Because that’s how it always works. City governments in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s rightfully laughed themselves stupid when some asshole like Bud Adams or Art Modell came crying poverty and pleading for (at the time) tens of millions of dollars for a new playground. Bud, Art, and the Bidwells all took off for other…
In fairness it is a shithole
