Miss Jackson If Youre Nasty

I get what you're saying and I don't disagree. I am certainly guilty of buying more clothes than I need, only to do a massive clean out and donate bags of clothes. I also tend to stockpile clothes from old sizes, only for those to eventually meet the same fate. I think we have become accustomed to "disposable"

Sure it is. If I'm paying substantially more money (3-4x more), I have a reasonable expectation of higher quality, which is what you're arguing is the case. My experience has not necessarily shown that to be true. YMMV

I'm not denying the existence. Clearly you're out there, or luxury brands and retailers couldn't exist. I understand that. It's just a whole other universe and mentality from my own, and that of most of my friends/family.

I don't necessarily agree... I actually did buy a pair of "premium" denim a few years ago. I paid $150 for them and they fell apart just as quickly as my $40 AE jeans. Same problem. Same friction holes in the upper thighs/crotch.

Oh no doubt. I'm a self-taught seamstress and was a costume design major in college. I can sew lights out. I don't buy crappy stuff - well, I mean, I do, but they're trend pieces to go with the classic, timeless pieces and I don't expect them to last longer than a season or two. I'd marry my Bernina. I wish I had more

This is a whole mentality I don't understand. I make good money and I'm still in absolute sticker stock over clothes. $70 for a pair of pants isn't moderately priced. It's fucking insane. Anything more than $40 for a pair of jeans is highway robbery. That's how things were in my house growing up, and I admit to

We had a menagerie of critters when I was growing up. Dog, cat, turtles, parakeets, rabbits, etc. Our oddest was a flying squirrel. We'd found him in a parking lot one night. He'd apparently fallen out of his next - he was just a baby - and we didn't know what it was. My mom made four-year old me crawl under this

Am I allowed to be dismayed at the number of [probably] Jewish last names in this list? Everyone already thinks Jewish moms are crazy*. Y'all aren't helping.

I loved the bat stamps. They were black background and had four different types of bats. Those were circa 2004 or 2005 I think.

I bought a cheapie embosser with my [our] address engraved in it and stamped the back of all our RSVPs and wedding invites. We're now divorced (and I'm moved umpteen times since then), but it looked bad as hell. Also I hand made all our invitations.

Bless. That looks like the least shitty Bar Mitzvah ever. I approve.

She's Hungarian, as it happens. So oops on that one. She's some unhinged chick who posts here often. Have fun exploring the rabbit hole, Alice. http://styleangelique.blogspot.com/

I wonder if she was somehow involved with Marc Jacobs and his cabal bent on ruining that sweet Russian girl...

I could not agree less. I looooooooooooove older men. Laugh lines, crows feet, and wisdom in the eyes get me weak in the knees. My perfect man is always 7-15 years older than I am. Silver foxes ftw!

Hahaha! I *always* close the shower curtain. I grew up in Florida. Closing the shower curtain was the only way to forestall the inevitable mold/mildew accumulation. Also I'm not scared at all of snakes. But those goddamn aggressive flying cockroaches terrify me, like to the point that one flew AT MY HEAD once when I

HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS. BONGO STILL EXISTS.

True confession: I haven't watched SVU since before Stabler left. He was the glue. THE GLUE. But I do love me some Donal Logue.

ZOMG no, but I will find it.
