Unfortunately you run into a few of those, but I promise you, there are REALLY REALLY GOOD counselors, psychologists, therapists, and psychiatrists out there, who genuinely will want to help you.

Oh, honey.

Good to hear it! (:

Yeah, but if you're "complete" as a human being you're not actually interesting. If you are a "complete" human, you're dead, so I certainly hope no cashmere sweater or higher education or pair of jeans or perfectly diverse friend group, or child, or any of these things in concert, "completes" me.

Wow. WOW. You've really outdone yourself this time, Douchebag McGees of the universe. "Heeeeey, lemme stick my face in your rack FOR SCIENCE (OF DEFEATING BREAST CANCER!)" No. No, no thank you hell no fuck no. "What, you don't wanna defeat breast cancer? You heartless bitch."

Oomph. This badapology is doubleplusungood.

It pays less, but I'm beginning to think that's exactly what I ought to do.

Oh, hell, no it does not. But it's not retail. I put my time in during my fast-food stint.

Dear Christ.

That's only extra-YOUR-corporeal.

Out of curiosity, what does the gay room look like? Be prepared and all that.

Frankly, I don't. But GirlFriday and I have been tested and we're in a monogamous relationship, so.

I find a lot of lit fic poorly written and condescending toward its readers, frankly, but that's just me. We all look up to the best in our given genre, if we've got one (I don't... oops) and I think it's an insult to judge a whole category of books by the worst examples in that wide swathe.

Try sitting in a room full of people who want to be Serious Writers (TM) and saying you wouldn't mind writing YA for a living, or even just because you, you know, like writing it. Oomph. Not an experience I'd like to repeat.

ABHORSEN AAAAAH. That was my gateway drug into darker YA fic.

Uuuuuuugh it blooms like a flower of YUCK as it leaves her body ughhh

I legitimately thought Kubrick did Rosemary's Baby and Polanski did Clockwork Orange. OOPS. Thanks.

Polanski murders the storyline, especially at the end bit, and the way he portrays the rape scenes is sickening to anyone with a semblance of empathy. I'm so sorry you had to experience a bunch of asscanoe McGees. People are sick.

If you reread, I think you'll see that I agree with you.

You can also see how many women are inconvenienced by an uncontrollable body function.
