I compulsively clean because of the hoarders in my family. I get the same sense of relief from getting rid of something that they get from buying something. I don't have to deal with it personally anymore though because my mother "disowned" me earlier this year. Sure does save on christmas presents.

Some states have laws that protect you from retaliation for discussing salary. But yeah, you probably have to ask them, and/or search glassdoor.com.

No, not all white people were against welfare but the people against welfare are mostly white. As such, I addressed white Americans specifically. Pretending like this covers a cross-section of Americans is patently dishonest.

I'm experimenting with homemade Glogg tonight. It's a fine punch that kept so many Scandinavians sane during long winter nights:

"This 'unconscious bias' means young women are consistently underestimated and overlooked, right from the outset of their careers..."

The source image, or a copy of it, comes up in the first page of a Google image search for 'united states flag'. Said source image is on a bunch of 'free wallpaper' sites.

Except for black teenage boys!

As an artist, I can sum up my feelings in a few gifs.

Isn't anyone else kind of rooting for him getting shot on the doorstep of the person he's delivering the painting to, because they felt threatened?

I was suffering from a really really bad case of mono one time and I thought I was just tired, unable to eat, and yellow-looking because I wasn't sleeping due to finals. I only went to the hospital when I peed a rusty orange color and fainted in a public restroom, but of course I waited 3 days first. My boyfriend on

LOL, good to know there are people willing to help fund his whirlwind adventures beating significant others and shooting black kids.

Oh man, I do not like generalizations about gender, I will usually argue with people when they drop little stereotype tidbits... but I have to say, after caring for patients, I have notice a trend. The exceptions seem to be really friendly, optimistic, happy-go-lucky men and really really depressed women.

I have man flu, and I'm a woman.

This. My husband get sick much less often than I do (I work with children a.k.a. major virus vectors), but when he does get sick it is THE END OF THE WORLD, whereas I just want to go off by myself and be left alone, like a wounded hyena.

Guilty as charged.

This happens to me all the time. Whenever my bf and I get the same cold, it's always the end of the fucking world for him. I don't think it's because he wants extra care from me, since usually he ignores my offers to make soup/tea/etc and does it himself. Except he does it in a way that (I swear to God) exaggerates

Pretty sure this is true. My husband is definitely that way, and I have a theory it's because his mom is a nurse.

Her vacuuming or cleaning?

I agree that coming up with chores for you to do when you're sick is a jerk move, but HER vacuuming or cleaning? Really? Don't you help make the messes, too?

Because you don't give a hoot about integrity and only care about money. And you know, a guy who is mostly known for writing a footballers biography sounds like such a great fit to continue this epic feminist story :-(
