As a young woman, it isn't.

I don't think it's the old guys at all, I think it's society - just saying this "the olds will die out" attitude people have is erroneous and that's why people are SOOO stunned that younger women are consistently underestimated.

I think it's because everyone thinks that Sexism (See also: Racism, Homophobia, Classism, All The Problems) Will Be Fixed When The Olds Die Out and that's... just not the case.

Uh, I really do hope not.

Just one ought to be fine! As long as you aren't shoving it under anyone's nose, you should be good.

As far as I'm concerned, if you shop online/at very, very slow hours and avoid your relatives entirely, the holidays are awesome!

Oh, god. How awful that you felt you had to suffer through with that and how awesome (... in a sense) that you finally got an accurate diagnosis. My mother was the same way; always tired, always in pain, yet constantly downplayed her symptons - and then, when she finally told her doctors what was going on, they told

"apparently women are less sympathetic to the casual suffering of their men"

A friend in nursing school has apparently noticed this trend and will go into it in great detail if you let her.

The Catholic Church epitomizes the "We don't mind gays as long as they act straight in public" approach.

Er.

She's essentially the embodiment of reaching critical mass in the hipster-white-girl movement.

... so, er, what's the point? Duping the kids into thinking they're actually having all the real fun of a sleepover and not having to deal with the idea that your precious Janie might be huffing Pixie Stix at 2AM at that heathen Jennifer's house?

Those broken-glass nails terrify me.

I almost felt bad for Ann Romney when she said "I don't want to do this again."

This is really sad. Even if not victims of sexual abuse, this indicates a huge lack of knowledge about and ownership of one's own body and it's just... sad.

What about Eva Gabrielsson?

Wow. And the Famille Fishnets thought itself fancy for putting up four in years gone by.

Er... I think the article is missing the forest for the trees here.
