God, I always get so confused by the strange looks I get from neighbors when I’m shoveling every couple of hours during the height of a snowstorm. I’m young, in reasonably good health, and I can’t move more than 6 inches of snow at a time. Fuck that. Why are you looking at me like I’M the crazy one here? I’m not…
I always laugh at the neighbor camaraderie on our street during mega snowfalls. It’s the only time of the year we all get together for anything. We help each other and others, laugh, and say we’ll see each other again in a few hours. Which we do. But we do all of this bundled up. So when warmer weather comes around,…
Do get some salt and/or cat litter or whatever stuff helps snow and ice melt more quickly, and use them, before the snow arrives. Spreading this stuff on your walk/driveway/parking spot is a lot easier and less time-consuming than shoveling. It’s a good investment!
You made an impressive effort with him, but he obviously just wanted sympathy. The very fact that he thinks that a woman simply acting nervous around him when she thinks he might be following her with bad intent is the same as her treating him like a rapist is pretty telling.
Madison Bumgarner and Bartolo Colon are equal and opposite reasons to keep pitchers hitting
And there it is! The football-centric fan, who can’t help but think baseball would be better...if only it were more like football!
Again, you are creating deliberately absurd scenarios...and “Whatdya know!” they make baseball look absurd.
*Down by 2 pts with 30 seconds to go. What strategy Belichek showed by going for…
It’s pretty clear. If she thinks he’s a nice guy, but he’s not, she risks being stalked, raped or killed. If she thinks he’s dangerous, but he’s really not, the worst thing that has happened is...nothing, really. He keeps saying he was treated like he’s a rapist, but what did she really do? She gave him some side-eye…
The DH debates always focus on whether pitchers should be hitting, but I think they’re missing an important element: should sluggers be playing the field? I say yes. If the Red Sox want to pay Ortiz to hit, they should be stuck with his bad defense too.
Warning: crazy-person-on-the-subway-esque rant incoming. Get out while you still can.
When is the AL going to start playing real baseball and drop the DH? It’s ridiculous to have a baseball player who only plays defense and one who only plays offense. Why not go full-out football and have a defensive group who just plays the field and an offensive group that only bats? The DH is stupid.
While we’re at it, let’s make some other changes to make the game more exciting for today’s fans and make the rules more uniform. First, let’s standardize the field. We’ll just make it 100 yard rectangle to keep the dimensions the same everywhere. Second, since it stinks watching guys that aren’t specialist perform…
people LOVE a goddamn hill in the outfield, but god forbid a pitcher have to run the bases or they might get hurt!
AL ball is not more exciting. I’m not sure what about fat-ass has been sluggers waddling to the plate three times a game for two strike outs and a single is exciting. You should watch some Madison Bumgarner and you’ll be cured.
Am I the only one that thinks the DH is ridiculous? I’m far from one of those “old skool” douche bags but it doesn’t make sense to have a steady hitter that does nothing else. It’s like whiffle ball rules bullshit. But maybe I should get upset at other things in my life
“Baseball’s the only major American sport where the two leagues play by different rules.”
“John Henry and Tom Werner of the Red Sox came out in favor of an NL designated hitter, and those guys are complete asshats who ruin everything they put their hands on, so that’s when we realized we should not make any changes at this time.”
Marchman got to him. He’s in the pocket of BIG SAC BUNT. It’s the only plausible explanation.
Hahahahaha. Yes, you’re right :/
Illinois has a weird law prohibiting selling cars on Sundays.
