Touche. Thanks for the facts.

I think I may watch it again to see if I like it better the second time around.

Wrong. He pled guilty and served 21 months in prison, plus a couple months of house arrest afterwards.

Since Vick's abuse of dogs first became known he has been convicted, served time in prison, apologized profusely several times over, and done a lot of genuinely good work on behalf of animals.

Excellent analysis.

Wait, so Lindy West, who makes a living largely by engaging in vacuous celebrity gossip, finds it refreshing when a celebrity thinks that gossip mongers are morons?

So it's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy except with black women instead of queer men and white women instead of straight guys.

No apology necessary, but thanks :)

We also teach don't steal and don't kill, yet we still have theft and murder.

Spot on.

I agree with you 100% that lots of male actors are guilty of the same thing. I never said that wasn't the case. I didn't see fit to mention it in my post because this article is about Johannson specifically.

I think Under the Skin is absolute horseshit. Stylistically arresting at times, but otherwise nearly unbearable.

Only because she is put on a pedestal that she does not deserve. It's not that she's always terrible, it's that she plays Scarlett Johannson in every single role. Her range as an actress is exactly zero.

"I have a huge problem with poor taste and inappropriate clothing."

My issue isn't that you're wrong, it's that 99% of posters click on certain posts specifically to criticize and/or mock the subject of the piece, and there are numerous full articles here written for those very same purposes. You might as well tell us that the sky is blue.

It's always odd to hear this criticism on a website whose stock and trade is drumming up outrage and calling people out on their bullshit.

Please link to the articles where these facts are discussed "repeatedly".

Oh give me a break.

Ugh. I'm so tired of those thoroughly untalented kids.
