No. People are saying that “ask your bartender to babysit your drink” is not effective or safe.

You’ve just had dozens of people tell you that first of all, it’s not safer, second, it’s not practical, legally for the license holder or the on-the-floor staff, and three, it’s part of a larger causality to find workarounds for not being raped.

According to the long list of stories here of people being roofied by bartenders, I’d say, that no, it is not safer than leaving your drink with a friend and maybe not even with someone you just met. I’ve been roofied once-it was definitely the bartender (got out safe, thank God).
