This. My Mom says the same thing. She says that sometimes she enjoyed raising children, but now that we are grown up, she loves the friendships she’s cultivated with us, and loves how even if we all weren’t related, we would all still hang out together. I think that’s a pretty healthy and normal attitude.

“These two disparate viewing experiences bring up questions that have hovered around the childless/parent divide for a long time: are honest depictions of parenthood supposed to be a consolation or a caution?”

You know, if we keep snarking and tearing down and pushing away people who are allies, WE ARE GOING TO RUN OUT OF THEM.

This is PRECISELY my feeling about him.

Can I just say how cool it is to see both a family of color and a man featured prominently on the cover of a parenting magazine?? As a non-parent I’m not familiar with how often this particular magazine does this, maybe it’s frequent so this isn’t a big deal? I think it’s neato. This guy seems like a great Dad and I’m

Yeah her Mom is suuuuuper convincing with the whole “I was a great Mom and SHE was terrible to ME” as she publicly berates and shames her daughter about reducing her painfully large breasts and not being ashamed of it. What a piece of fucking trash. Smart of Ariel not to engage her. It’s a high road I’m not sure I’d

WHAT IS HE PLOTTING, WE’LL NEVER KNOW

My friend’s cat was named Ken and it was for some reason the funniest thing ever. She’d be like “Ken, stop scratching the damn couch!” and I would erupt in laughter.

WHY DID THEY GIVE TIGER CUBS SOCCER MOM NAMES

“He had to approve the songs before release.”

The article is talking about teens doing it. She was just agreeing with you and saying you doing it is far less problematic than teens. Chill bb!

Meh I dunno, did you see his follow up comments? “Take note, fortheloveofbeets. THAT is how you win an ally” or some shit like that.

It does! I was just responding to that particular comment because it irked me. Whether it’s 100,000 men or 1 million men, the problem is a symptom of the same disease. I just think it’s hilarious that there are so many men who say “But hardly any men do this!” while literally every woman I know is like “Ok but this

I don’t know why you’re so hostile and butthurt about my comment. My response to you certainly wasn’t hostile. You are the one trying to invalidate my experiences as a woman by telling me that I can’t be right about what I’ve experienced in my own life. My “creds” are not my fucking age or my gender, my “creds” is me

I was just pointing out that the fact that numerically even if it is a “small number” compared to the number of men in the world, that does nothing to diminish the fact that it has been happening to me on a regular basis since I was like 11 (which is the first time I remember getting harassed on the street by a man).

I shall take the word of my own experiences in my 31 years of being a woman over phantom studies.

Right. Like if you can’t learn to disagree in a way that doesn’t involve threatening people with rape and bodily harm, you get your toy taken away.

Congratulations!!! You are being awarded a Gold Star for Missing The Entire Fucking Point.

Why must we always ruin everything???? Lemonade was fantastic. Loved it. Now I need no one to mention it for a solid fucking week at least. And if I hear the goddamn name Becky one more time....

It was early evening, after a day game on a Sunday. The bar was like half restaurant but still definitely not a family-friendly place. They advertised football sunday get wasted specials and shit like that. I def wasn’t the only one perplexed by the sight of a baby carrier at a place like that.
