One time at a bar after a Jets game I spilled a beer on someone's baby. The woman yelled at me and I just said that's what you get for having a baby in a bar.

Seriously. I spent about 2 hours yesterday babysitting my friend’s 3 week old so her and her husband could go out and have a meal together and after those 2 hours I basically threw the baby at them and ran out of the house. Taking care of a newborn is no joke. I can’t imagine how badly new parents need a few hours to

They're just ordinary people

I LIVE for dark British crime dramas apparently lol. I started Wallander but never finished it, I need to!

Good luck!!! You'll do great!!! You'll have to change your kinja name to ZombieBarbie!

Here’s before and after stitches came out! Pretty gnarly but nothing like after the first surgery to put them in!

What’s a good true crime docuseries to watch?? I’ve finished Making a Murderer but need other suggestions!!

LOL same

Honestly why the fuck did Beyonce even bother with this?? It’s all half-assed, ugly nonsense. She doesn’t need the money. And if it was about wanting to branch out, there are one thousand other things she could have done that fit with her #brand but aren’t as utterly ugly or useless as this stupid fucking athleisure

It was maybe like 2 months after surgery? I don’t recall exactly but it definitely was many weeks later. It can happen after a major trauma or stressor on the system, including surgery. It’s called telogen effluvium. It’s fully reversible and for me it wasn’t so much hair “loss” so much as hair...thinning, which I

Haha omg that’s so weird, my BFF also came to see me for two weekends (she lives a short flight away) when I was in recovery! I’m so glad for you, it seriouslly makes such a difference. It sounds like even though you live alone you’ll have help if you need it, and with planning you can make sure your place is “surgery

Yeah! They perform a procedure called the Flarvnik. It goes great with another procedure called the Lundvinst.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME TOOOOOOOOOO. As if having major surgery doesn’t suck enough! Mine is still growing back, I have a bunch of whispies on the front of my hairline that are much shorter b/c I lost a bunch of hair around my hairline.

My recover from surgery to “can work out regularly without much problem” was about 10 months. It’s definitely long BUT it will start to go by much faster once you get into physical therapy and are up and about again! The first month will suck, but if you are prepared for it then it won’t be as bad. Since you have time

You’ll be PART ZOMBIE!!!!!

I never said they didn’t. That’s why I said “to the extent that those attitudes are carried over here...”

This is a bill in the United States. What’s happening in another country is irrelevant to this particular discussion.

I would love to turn at least a few pieces of it into jewelry somehow, but I have no idea how to go about that. I was thinking of looking for a local jeweler on Etsy or something who might be able to do it. Maybe try to make a cool cuff with the plates and a couple of the screws.

The cracking seems to have stopped! I had a few weird pops that would happen when tendons or whatever would get stuck on the hardware and it drove me nuts! So far it seems a lot of those issues are gone, though I'll know more in a few weeks as I walk a lot more! I'll probably always creak a little bit though. Any
